Mid to late August is typically not so big on the straight up heat. The 6 weeks from late June until early August is the meat of it.

Some debate about if 1635 was worse than 1938... I know it pushed a lot of water ahead of it. With CC and all, it does lend to the idea that a more powerful storm could survive up here

That period starting late week/early the following week does look like the first decent shot of a heat wave for SNE. Maybe even 4-5 days in the 90s

Rte 2 was fun coming down the hill by KFIT. Serious ponding and I've been driving my daughter's smaller car for a couple of days. Was like I was in a wave pool. Some good lightning. Rain wasn't so bad when I was driving, but earlier it was nasty
