  1. Yeah. That Aug 2000 event is a high tier event for New England. That ain’t walking through the door any time soon
  2. For my experience a thunderstorm like what went through here early this morning is probably once every year or two. So far this season we have had a good number of smaller thunderstorms. The last week or so especially. Legit severe is super rare in SNE. Other parts of the country laugh at most of our thunderstorms.
  3. The lightning was pretty sick. Not a damaging storm for the most part, but a pretty raucous one.
  4. Yeah. Very noticeable. I’ve shut off the ACs and opened windows. Much more tolerable
  5. I would assume the average of the most recent 10 years would be higher than that of the 30 year period?
  6. The efts are loving this crap though. Good for nature. Bad for HubbDave
  7. Change Bo’s Run Rd to Blueberry Lane or Potato Pike
  8. The lack of sun is really annoying me.
  9. 3AM light show was intense Another 0.70” of rain. Around 1.40” in the past 24 hours
  10. Looks like we picked up around 0.70” is that noontime storm and a couple of smaller ones.
  11. You got a nice Special Weather Statement at least https://forecast.weather.gov/wwamap/wwatxtget.php?cwa=BOX&wwa=special weather statement
  12. Watching a beautiful towering cell in the Bennington NH area from the college in Gardner MA. Sweet lightning.
  13. Thunder here but that cell is over Westminster and Fitchburg. Shockingly no rain here all day.
  14. Around 0.6” of rain today. A few peeks of sun Pretty gross day here.
  15. The frogs are out like a mini plague. And a possible coup in Russia?
  16. Went to walk the dog around our neighborhood. Big bear crossed the road a hundred yards or so ahead of us. Sorry for the cruddy pic. Saw a baby moose and momma one last night in Barre
  17. AC is in here to get ahead of the dews
  18. There was a recent similar event in Virginia is appears. I think you might have also been referring to that a bit further into your post. Something incapacitated the pilot and they flew for a while before crashing
  19. My son's friend somehow caught Rory McLroy's (spelling?) hole in one ball that he tossed into the gallery yesterday
  20. We had some in early May. But nothing like usual. Mosquitoes haven’t been too too bad.
  21. For most of New England, dews in the mid 60s-72 is pretty dewy
  22. When I was a kid I was on the campus of Bowdoin College (don’t recall why) when a big storm rolled through. We were in one of the buildings on a quad or something. Big pines all around. A huge bolt zapped one of the trees less than 100 feet from us. Big chunks of bark went everywhere I kept a piece for a while. that was probably early 1980s
