  1. Have not been to the Sandwich or Woodstock CT sites. I think they all have their unique vibe but the Tewksbury site is pretty amazing. They still need to work out the ordering logistics but it wasn’t too bad
  2. We were at Tree House in Tewksbury last night. There was a decent breeze. I noted it because it has been pretty still for quite a while
  3. Yup. We are hoping to secure either a sunrise or sunset spot. They become available 6 months out for some then two days out at 10AM for others. We have a National Parks pass but will need a couple of others for individual items. We are staying on the Schoodic side so that is hopefully a bit quieter
  4. Hoping the pattern changes a bit by the end of the month. Heading to Acadia National Park area for a week.
  5. Just found out something new weather-wise that happened in this area quite a while back. Until 2000, there was a small amusement park located in Lunenburg called Whalom Park. I never visited it but had driven past it many times prior to it closing. There are condos on the site now. From 1940 until it was demolished in 2006 there was a wooden roller coaster called the Comet. Prior to that coaster, there was another coaster called the Flying Star. That coaster was heavily damaged in a storm in 1938. I had always assumed it was from the 1938 hurricane. Turns out that in August of 1938 the area was hit by a tornado that did decent damage, including to Whalom Park. There had been another tornado in the area in 1924 that killed at least 1 person
  6. We have had a few patches of blue sky and sun. But mostly mank this morning
  7. When Storyland was owned by the Morell family it was a great value. After they sold it it became much more expensive. We still preferred Santa’s Village. I do miss having kids young enough that we would go to those. Last time was 2018. Storyland does have a newish coaster that is great for its small size
  8. Sitting poolside here in the Hubb. This is hot but dews are fine. Def drier than earlier Pool is quite nice 92
  9. 81/70 here in the woods. Just mowed before temps get too high. Swamy
  10. Definitely not those. I will try to catch the next one and take a pic. I will try to identify it
  11. We have been plagued with some type of moth on our screen porch the past 3 days. They are large (bigger than a gypsy moth) and brown/orange. We have no idea where they are coming from. They appear 1-3 at a time. No other bugs have gotten into the porch. It is pretty tightly built.
  12. Strangely the deer flies haven’t been as bad as normal. I think they are just delayed
  13. Looks like I maxed out at 89.3F although I saw 90-94 on car thermo driving around April was hotter
  14. Edit. Only had 1 90 in April. Missed it by 1 degree the other day. 2 in June So 3 so far
  15. Yeah. This doesn’t really bode well for the local tourism boards. Movie theaters will enjoy it though “Increasing risk for showers and thunderstorms Friday, and especially by Sunday, mainly across the interior. The risk for showers and thunderstorms continues into Wednesday. Kept the forecast rainfall chances rather broad still, owing to a lack of confidence in the timing details. Not looking at any single day which is a total washout. There should be many rain-free hours, with the greatest rainfall chances in the afternoon and evening. Humidity should remain high through this portion of the forecast, which will set a higher floor for temperatures that what is typical for early July. High temperatures expected to be near to slightly above normal.”
  16. I think we talked about that graph not too long ago and we agreed it had some issues
  17. 88/64 at KFIT’s last hourly update. HI of 89 send this for the next month please
  18. Yep. Get those two numbers separated and it feels much better. Hot but pleasant
