  1. Thanks, I appreciate this. They are excellent.
  2. I have been out of the loop for the past 24 hours for the most part and was unable to closely follow this storm. Just get back on the boards and turning on the TV. Wow. Good for all you guys. Nice to share the wealth. At least my lawn is white 5" total
  3. I have been gone all day at Dartmouth Hitchcock and have not been very up with this storm. 5" storm total for me and looks like just a couple of inches in Lebanon. Just got home and have not read the boards since early this morning but turned on the TV. Snow amounts, 36" New Ipswich NH and the Monadnock area. Wow.
  4. 24.2F Light to moderate snow. Right on the west. Great snow growth
  5. Yes, they look intense but are not. One came through 45 minutes ago and gave me a 5 minute moderate but others are just few flakes flying Very light snow falling. 3.3" from round one and 1.5" from round two 4.8" storm total which is about what I was expecting with this system. Really a nothing burger in Dendriteland but I was never invested. Congrats to the many that got a good storm!
  6. 29.7F Moderate snow/blowing snow Just like that this band came in from the east. Radar looks good as the stuff to my northeast should start to pivot. Down sloping from the Whites will probably come into play but nice to have the first moderate of this whole event
  7. They did that last night up here. We were never in a WSW all the heaviest stuff was to fall further south. Most of the day the models had us in the 3-7" range through our school district. They cancelled school early last evening. We had light snow till about midnight then flurries. 3" fluff dry total snow in area. Roads were bare this morning with no snow falling all day and some sunny breaks but no school for 7 NH towns here just south of Plymouth NH. So stupid. At least wait till 5am like they use to. I posted something about this on our local Newfound Lake facebook page and got blasted. Comments like, you never know about Mother Nature blah blah blah.
  8. 28.5F Very light snow commencing Unbelievable they cancelled school today for our entire district of 7 towns. 3" of dry powder snow feel last evening and ended for the most part around midnight. Yesterday it was well forecasted that we would be on the northern edge of the snow from round one. Our county, Grafton was never in a winter storm warning but the school district decided to cancel school last evening anyhow. Roads were well cleared by this morning. Stupid decision. Our snow was of the dry, powder variety, no mix, ice etc. Probably tomorrow mornings community will be worse than this morning. Wonder if they will call off school yet again?
  9. Really interesting GOES loop right now. Can really see the new low exploding and the circulation expanding down east of NJ. Looking at the NYC webcam and visibility is lowering and snow is starting to stick
  10. 29.3F Mostly cloudy sun makes an appearance from time to time. vis 20 miles
  11. Just got back on the boards since earlier last evening 3.3" my total. Few flurries falling 28F Without looking back through 20 pages of obs who jacked? Last I saw before I turned the computer off last night was some 13" around Albany.
  12. Euro east but the storm is stronger. Bottoms out at 971mb. That would be quite the wallop if it was 75 miles further east. Still not excited about this up here. Brian still on board but I'm not invested. 23.3F Light snow
  13. Jerry, Just looked at a link you sent me last year. 605pm Logan 35.4F Here is the 620pm Weather Underground PWS obs. Doesn't seem too bad to me.
  14. Welcome to New England. Every part of the country has the local nuisances as I have learned with much of my family living in Bend Oregon. Under your name in the profile section it's helpful to put your location so if you post observations we know where you live.
  15. Snow just coming into Boston now per the Charles River webcam. Pretty amazing that days ago the models could give us accurate start time within an hour or so
  16. Just WOW on the Euro. Congrats E Mass.
  17. Good luck everyone. 12Z GFS gives me 3" up here. Now I know how all the SNE feel when it's reversed. Don't like it
  18. You guys are up at 3:30 am? Well me too. Throw a couple of logs on the Fire and look at the nam. Finally a run that gets some good precipitation up to me. I haven't seen run finish I like this run. But Now I can go back to sleep at least until it GFS. Nighty night
  19. Here is the Weatherbell snowfall product 18Z vs 12Z Euro assuming 10/1 Not sure if you can read it well, 12Z on right
  20. ....and on the other side of the NH notches not a cloud in the sky all day. Next storm looks like it's shifting south a bit. Maine may cash in late in the game but looks like a screw job for much of interior NNE. Could be some epic amounts in SNE.
  21. This uncoming storm is driving me nuts. Sharp cut off line between heavy snow and a nuisance few inches of fluff. Southern Grafton County NH where I live will be living life on the edge. It's a no brainer to go with WSW for S NH through Brian but for me WWA or WSW? Model trend was inching north all night and now back south. Maine will catchup on Monday night but will it fill in back here?
  22. 12Z Euro really cuts the northern edge in Central NH, at least for me in the Plymouth area. .93" to .60". Monday night/Tuesday looks too far east.
  23. Not liking the trends on the 12Z models for up here. No cliff jumping yet but definately don't feel confident on any big snow
