  1. Yup, just like that the heavy sleet is turning to snow but it has done this a few time today. . If we can do this quick we can cash in on these heavier echoes moving through Central NH. I think this is the time the 700mb temps start crashing east through our area?
  2. 21.4F PL+ Making a huge racket. Thought it might be hail but it isn't.
  3. Would these storms bring any wind with them? A few quick gusts into the 30-40 mph range in hard hit ice areas would do some damage. Maybe the low lying cold air would negate any downdrafts reaching the surface. Way out of my area of knowledge Edit Just saw the post above as I was typing
  4. 21F Light sleet and snow grains. I would love to see the atmosphere cool down enough so then this convection gets here it's snow. Interesting setup
  5. Take a look at the satellite picture as the sun goes down. Looks like summer time anvils.
  6. I totally get that but now I'm having very light ice grains. Not big enough to call sleet but not the snow grains of earlier these are tiny ice particles circular in nature. I would think with my deep cold layer these small things would be formed at the lowest levels 22/20 Ice pixels. Guess technically these would be snow grains
  7. No one is posting in the other storm thread for non obs so I'll post here 12Z Euro looking good for the 2ndary up here later 22/20 PLSG- Temp and dew have stopped dropping and begun a slight rise.
  8. Your obs are exactly like mine. Went back to snow and then cut off. I assume you will do that too very shortly. Then it's just snow grains
  9. 21.6/19 Temp and dew still inching down. Snow and sleet Back and forth
  10. 21.7F Flipping back to snow after hours of sleet. These kind of storms are more fun weather wise trying to figure out what will be happening hour by hour
  11. 21.7/20 Temperature still dropping PL- SG- Vis about 1.5 miles some blowing snow too
  12. Thanks Scott. I should go back and read more pages from time to time before asking questions Getting scalped right now. Big sleet almost the size of small hail. Pinging everywhere
  13. Are you home or Concord? Just heard of fatal fire in Northfield on the east side of town
  14. 23 Sleet with pixel dust. I'm surprised I am straight sleet while there is legit flakage way to my south. I am much closer to the cold source of air yet no snow the past couple hours, just the pixel dust crap
  15. 24/21. Light sleet and snow grains. 4.25" snow during the night
  16. 27.8 moderate snow. Just measured 2.5"
  17. 27.8/26. Moderate snow. Big flakes. Back to bed
  18. 30.6/26 temperature now dropping and snow has increased in intensity almost moderate now Bedtime
  19. Back to light snow, but it's very light I can see lights in Bristol 3 miles away. Temp just dropped .3F to 31.1/26
  20. Interesting obs from me 31.4/25 Light snow now mixing with sleet. Light snow started awhile ago at 31.7/24. We have a dusting but is changing to sleet. That was not suppose to happen this far northeast I don't believe. I thought I'd get an initial burst before any changeover. Sleet started much earlier than i expected up here
  21. 31.7/23 Finally below freezing
  22. So Grey Maine decided not to include Grafton County NH into the winter storm warning area. Sometimes they break the county into 2. Most of the population is in that far SE corner (Plymouth area). With 1.50" of qpf and perhaps a lot of sleet mixed in which makes roads worse I would have gone with a warning.
  23. Idiots are out on Newfound Lake walking on very thin ice. I took the drone up yesterday. Lake just skimmed over a few nights ago but days have been above freezing with nights in the upper 20's. This really puts first responders at risk. New snow will cover this thin ice tonight making things very dangerous all week without any arctic blast to follow. Drone video over Newfound that I took Sat PM
