  1. That is a bold statement. Either you are a seer or an idiot. Hmmmm. Did you look at another 384 hour EC op run? She gone?
  2. You would’ve loved the 28 inches I got in about seven hours in December 20 20. Brian got even more, I think 34 inches in the same time frame 10 miles north of me. it was the most amazing seven hours. Every time I come in from a walk I waited about 15 minutes it went out again with the excuse that I had to shovel the walk. At 6 inches an hour at one point, I really did need to go out twice an hour. I hope you see this sometime soon!
  3. In a year where there’s been some decent blocking, which is likely to reoccur, and now with cold air sources near us I think the chance of a couple of decent snowstorms in February is fairly high. One big and one moderate snowstorm puts a lot of people to normal or above.
  4. 3” in the nose here and radar says we don’t get to 4, but I’m open to surprises. go Jeff! Radar looks awesome in ME
  5. NAM likes Midatlantic and NE on Friday? we have the sref nam and nav - what could go wrong?
  6. Yup 1/4 mile here and we are hanging on hoping the mid levels keep it going
  7. I am seeing that. It’s sort of hanging on here and probably at your house too because of the northeast winds and maybe things will fill in before the real dry area stops the snow here. I mean we are at a quarter-mile visibility right now, so I probably Looks like that might happen, but I’m thinking down towards Manchester, and over to their east it’s probably really piling up.
  8. Been around 20 all day, and I have to say I do enjoy a reasonably cold snowstorm. We might not even have had one of these last year. All our significant snows were borderline temperatures, I think.
  9. Snowing pretty heavily here now with OK snow growing fairly low visibility. But man the back edge of this band is maybe 10 miles to my west. Being saved by radar Beam drift for a little while perhaps. But further south and east looks like there’s no brakes in the action and you guys are gonna be 6+.
  10. The same thing I said to somebody earlier. then I looked at the disappearing snow on the radar. The good snow isn’t supposed to be till the afternoon. It was just going really nicely, though between like eight and nine. Hopefully as the coastal strengthens and moves northeast, the forcing will move back to the nw.
  11. Not so good up here and looking at the radar. I’m wondering if the forcing is going to mostly say south of us
  12. 19 Snow growth dramatically improved for a half an hour 45 minutes and we are probably up to an inch. Lightened up now with worse snow growth, and a raggedy radar up in this northern part of Merrimack county. I suspect the max is going to be south towards Nashua Manchester, and over towards Derry
  13. You guys, I mean, it may not happen the way it was modeled, but the good forcing was supposed to get here this afternoon not early this morning. Up here the best snow is supposed to be around two or three or four in the afternoon, which would imply for southern New England late morning to midday. Relax and let it play out.
  14. This animation represents why I still think we have a light moderate snow across most of New England. This storm even when tracking it pretty far east has seemed to want to put precipitation down pretty far west. I think that’s a good sign and I think we still have a shot at something decent. And still a shot at a biggie the end of the week.
  15. I meant that all you used to have to say was “it ain’t happening, James“ and then we knew we have a storm.
  16. CON about to get slammed from convergence from batch from sw and squall line from w
  17. Exactly. Like is that really likely to happen in that way that is being portrayed?
  18. I don’t like to criticize and NWS i’m looking at the upstream observations in radar. I think it’s negligent to not have a snow squall, watch or warning or something to let people know if you go take a drive it 3 o’clock this afternoon. You might find yourself in a whiteout. Those can be dangerous.
