    Last summer in Toronto had already seen 3 days above 86F with highest being 91F on June 2nd Currently- 0 days above 86F with highest being 85F Last year saw 13 days above 86F. I hope Im wrong and we absolutely torch the rest of the summer but currently 2023 had hotter days up to this point.

    Ya, I think this summer ends up just slightly above average and that’s mostly due to the overnight lows. Pretty much a similar summer to last year where there wasn’t much actual heat.

    The heat for the eastern lakes keeps getting pushed back. The hype for this summer being hottest in years in the local media means the population will lose more trust of these seasonal forecasts.

    Id love Toronto to hit 95F or above a few times this year. Been about 12 years since we hit 100F

    Last summer stunk for heat out in the eastern lakes. Our hottest stretch wasn’t until September I’m hoping for big time heat this summer. 2020 style

    Tough to get cooler than normal here but agree that Im begining to question the hype this summer has. Seems like most are saying "one of the hottest ever" with lots of heatwaves. Im covering my plants tonight because expected low is 35F and I'm under a frost advisory. One of the latest in recent memory for my place.

    Im going to say coldest on the Ontario side (populated region) will be upper 20s somewhere around Algonquin-Timmins.

    Someone in the Great Lakes region is getting low 30s and messing up their garden. I’ve got everything planted so I’m watching it close

    I wonder if we're going to go right into non-stop 90s. The last week though has helped scratch the no heat issue here. Got 83-86F for a few days there.

    Thanks! Yikes 1981 summer sucked for the longevity. Toronto has also recorded its first 80s the last few days now.

    Not debating that. Also been warm here but more with the overnight lows. Similar to last summer which was above average but more because the lows not the highs. The above average precipitation and cloud cover is definitely helping that over here with the overnight lows.

    Toronto has yet to hit 75F this year. Hottest its been is 71F @Snowstorms @michsnowfreak what would be the best site to see the latest Toronto has gone without seeing 75F? April was also the 2nd rainiest month since 1840 haha. Just stuck in neutral in winter and now spring.

    Whats your average last frost? Here its going to be right about on schedule assuming we dont get another one. Also can I finally say the snow season is done haha. 26.4" was all YYZ got which is good for 6th least amount of snow since records began at YYZ in the mid 1930s. I ended up being right talking futility in mid January but I did get a bit nervous there with that late march 2-4" event haha

    Ya, the good news is I can’t imagine next year is as bad as this one. Plus as you’ve mentioned before everything normally averages out. We had a good run the last few winters before this.

    Pretty bad. As @Snowstormsmentioned 7th least since 1840. Which to me is worthy of futility discussion lol

    @Snowstorms @michsnowfreak Even with that big push in late March YYZ is still at 6th least snowiest season on record at the airport. I don't know about you guys but to me thats going in the futile pile. 6th place has a cushion of about 2" before this winter would slip to 7th.

    Im thinking white rain for south of 401. One of those where it might stick for 5 mins under heaviest returns on grass tips. 1-2" actually sticks north of 401-407. Im thinking 5-9" for the higher elevations of Orangeville-Shelburne.

    This years biggest snowstorm of 4.3" happened on March 22nd which is pretty unusual. What was weird about this late snowstorm was it was dry powdery snow.

    Toronto had nearly 2 sub 20" winters in 3 years back in 2009-10 (20.6") and 11-12 (16"). 2011-12 will probably be very difficult to ever get lower for Toronto as 16" is insanely low. Those stats might also be why I'm more prone to start discussing futility records since Toronto has been racking up a few recently (Last 20 years)
