Can't believe how many of you are fussing with window units. How much did you spend on your house? Install some mini splits or central air. Lets spend 400k on a house but not spend 10k to be comfortable in it....

Exactly what happened to me. One of the stings was right between my eyes. It happened yesterday morning and when I woke up early today it was still bad and I could barely see. Finally this afternoon the swelling is rapidly going down and I am good now. Been stung many times but near your eyes is like 10 times the swelling.

Has anyone else ever been stung by a yellow jacket near their eye? Was working on a replacing a rotted window sill while 20 feet up on a ladder. Opened up a yellow jacket nest while ripping out the rotted sill. I got stung in the face multiple times and the swelling is crazy. I got stung like right near both eyes and they are swollen shut and I can barely see. Does anyone know how long the swelling normally lasts. I have felt fine and my only symptom is the swelling.

The Tolland County ground water sensor in Mansfield is at .44 feet. Crazy how much water is in the ground there and how fast it has risen.

That's either the oil pressure sensor or coolant temp sensor. It looks new but those sensors are a common item to go bad.

Saw some Facebook posts in Fairfield County of homes with septic tanks backing up into the house. Yards were still completely under water this morning.

I am just east of NH and got almost 3 inches in the last few hours. Tons of flooding here.

Sounds like he might have light a large 4 or 6 inch professional mortar shell and learned the hard way they are fused with quickfuse. Many people get their hand on them and are unaware the second the flame hits the wick it goes off. The fuse is set up like that as they are fired electronically. Sounds like he light one and it instantly went into his chest.

That same area NE of Hartford around Ellington has been getting crushed again today. There has to be some big totals there between yesterday and today.

Very little here in Branford as well. .09 since midnight. Been outside most of the day and have had some peeks of sun.

The oil light comes one when oil pressure drops to basically zero. People often confuse the oil light thinking its the oil level and its just low. It's a pressure sensor that turns on when you have no oil pressure in the engine. If you were driving for a week with it on and off the engine is most likely seized.

That part also contains the temperature sensor as you can see the wound coil temp sensor on it. Its probably bad and I would replace it. Almost all fridges use the fridge section for temp control. That part is available on eBay pretty cheap. Most of the time the issues with a basic fridge is that temp sensor or the compressor relay. There really isn't much to them and generally the compressors can last a long time as long as they don't leak. Also, if you don't have central AC and your kitchen is like 80+ degrees your fridge is going to run like crazy. I have an electricity monitor on my house and have been away and set my central air to like 82 and saw it runs like twice as long.

Did the oil light come on? Does it turn over now and run? Could also be a snapped timing belt.
