  1. Suprised to say that the snow is still falling and there's a good inch now. I walked up on the AT for a while earlier, the rime ice is pretty impressive above 5500'. Sent from my SM-G970U using Tapatalk
  2. 24° with light snow at 4400 in Wolf Laurel. That's a -25° temperature change since 9am Thursday. Sent from my SM-G970U using Tapatalk
  3. A little over .5" but man, what a contrast from the weather yesterday! Down to 24°. Sent from my SM-G970U using Tapatalk
  4. 29° with light snow in Wolf this morning. Just a car topper so far. Sent from my SM-G970U using Tapatalk
  5. That south wind is getting loud on the ridgetop above me. It sounds like there's a 747 in the neighborhood. Looking forward to some 50's and rain. Sent from my SM-G970U using Tapatalk
  6. 100% agree with you. I used to enjoy his videos, but he comes off as very smug and unprofessional (and unwatchable) to me. Sent from my SM-G970U using Tapatalk
  7. Yeah, experience tells me that I'm just over halfway through winter up here in Wolf. It would be hard to deliver more than January did, but March is typically my snowiest month (except for last year.) Sent from my SM-G970U using Tapatalk
  8. Waking up to 24° with about .75" on the ground. Sent from my SM-G970U using Tapatalk
  9. Congrats my friend. I'm sure you had a great week out there. Sent from my SM-G970U using Tapatalk
  10. I've lived here in Wolf Laurel since May 2017 and the temp at my house hasn't climbed over 80 once. Most summer days at this elevation top out in the low 70's. And we average about 50" of snow annually. There's places in the southeast that you can find what you're looking for without giving up sweet tea lol. I lived south of Columbia for 25 years, so I know how you feel. Sent from my SM-G970U using Tapatalk
  11. Exactly why I haven't said anything. The gfs doesn't have much support, but I'm thinking I might see a few flakes at least. Sent from my SM-G970U using Tapatalk
  12. 30 with ip/rn on Wolf currently. Sent from my SM-G970U using Tapatalk
  13. 13° with an inch of snow on the ground this morning in Wolf. Not bad for a flizzard. Sent from my SM-G970U using Tapatalk
  14. 28° with a flizzard in Wolf currently. Sent from my SM-G970U using Tapatalk
  15. January finished with 42.75" of Snow here in Wolf Laurel (Yancey County) elev. 4360'. That number is likely low due to high wind during the three larger events. 1/2: 11" 1/6-7: 1" 1/14: 1" 1/15-18: 21.5" 1/28-29: 8.25" Sent from my SM-G970U using Tapatalk
  16. I finished January with a snow total of 42.75". That's only .25" less than I received for the entire winter of 2019-2020. It was also the snowiest month I've had since moving here in 2017 (2nd snowiest was March 2018 with 30.5") What a turnaround from December! Sent from my SM-G970U using Tapatalk
  17. You must be up there in elevation too. Sent from my SM-G970U using Tapatalk
  18. Had a low of 8 around 9pm. The temp has been rising since then to 22 currently. Didn't expect that with the snowpack. Sent from my SM-G970U using Tapatalk
  19. Finished here in Wolf with 8.25". Lots of wind so who knows how much it really was. Sent from my SM-G970U using Tapatalk

  22. I have 11° and 6.5" on the ground with a whiteout here in Wolf. I love mornings like this! Sent from my SM-G970U using Tapatalk
  23. Well today was not a good day for my brake booster to fail. I feel like a popsicle right now. Currently down to 19 in Wolf with almost 2" of snow already. Sent from my SM-G970U using Tapatalk
  24. I wish I could believe those border totals. I think 2-4" is the safe bet like Met said. Sent from my SM-G970U using Tapatalk
  25. I still have about 8-10" in my yard in Wolf. I think there's been more sublimation than melting this week. Sent from my SM-G970U using Tapatalk
