  1. Afternoon all. Mid-Atlantic snow-starved weenie here transporting his family to New England for a chance at a white Christmas. At least a Christmas with snow on the ground. lol I've given up on any chance of a DC white Christmas for my young children to experience. So, decided to chase cold air before they lose their over-the-top excitement of seeing snow. Wife picked Wells, VT. I'll be lurking in your forum for the next few weeks! Cheers!
  2. Yep! Used to drive down 81 on my way to Virginia Tech.
  3. I'd rather be on the cusp 5 days out than 48 hours out. There are still chances for things to fall into place for some enjoyable snow. If 2020 is the upside down. Then our snow drought ends this year.
  4. I thought it was all schtick. Because it was so predictable.
  5. Perhaps I can convince my wife to take a day trip to Mt. Washington. lol https://www.mountwashington.org/
  6. I've given up on a White Christmas in DC. My wife was gracious enough to let me plan a trip to Vermont for our Christmas vacation breaking the tradition to head to Florida or Louisiana. Bless her heart. Seeing how 2020 has been going watch it rain in Vermont while DC gets 6 inches. lol
  7. Yeah. I can do without all the death and destruction. Just give me rain and a light show and I'm happy.
  8. Will this affect my afternoon run? Just kidding. But I do have a question. Those winds in DE look scary. Cat 1 type winds. Will we see those here? Hell, even 50mph winds would be scary in the DC area after such heavy rains last night.
  9. Felt it in Silver Spring. At first I thought it was someone running on the floor, then it kept going and getting stronger. Funny, peoples' heads popped up out of their cubes like prairie dogs. lol Worst earthquake of my life. Actually saw the columns of the building swaying. On the third floor about 500 feet from the nearest stairwell. If the building fell, I wouldn't have made it. Hope this doesn't become a yearly thing. My nerves can't handle this.
