  1. Rippin Austin Rd Cam I84 Waterbury...
  2. What is a better radar site, intellicast has gone the way of WU, and it is not great tbh anymore...what's the one you guys are always posting here? TIA
  3. You got infrared on that? What brand did you buy, and is it solar& wifi? Only thing I don't like about the one I got is I have to connect to the 2G wifi of my router, instead of the 5G option I usually use. but cannot wait to use it, 360 swivel, and 150 degree eye zone.
  4. Wife says first flakes in Winsted 1940 hrs...looking at CTDOT cams, appears to be ripping pretty good in Danbury and on the 95 corridor...I had to buy a new weather station and got a warranty discount, so I bought a solar wifi camera, but did not have time to install before I came up here for work, wish I did, would like to look at my home and do time lapse etc...can't wait to get it up. 21/13 in Winsted 23/9 here in Marlboro
  5. ALY seems to agree with the W Catskills jackpot as well.
  6. I'm happy with that...even though I am not home to enjoy it
  7. 23/0 at the home in Winsted...23/1 here in Boxborough, staying in Marlboro for this one, wish I could head home because I thinks my house is in a sweet spot for some good banding...Good luck all, enjoy, we needed this after the last two years, well some of us anyway...
  8. yeah, it takes me an hour to get to bport from my house, 2 hr philly drive my ass...and I kinda consider all of fairfield county a part of nyc, maybe not north fairfield county but definitely south, and sw.
  9. I do both usually, just to compare, but what is the official measurement requirements now, spotter training was 6hr clearing last I knew
  10. final total in Winsted..= 1" of paste that vanished hours ago, five miles away in Norfolk, about 4-5"... unreal, congrats on those jackpot areas, I'll be seeing it tomorrow!
  11. where's the cutoff from RN to SN, around the 128 corridor? just curious if those returns are accurate on WU...i flipped at 9, nothing stuck, above 1k it was paste of 3-4" on 219 in barkhamsted, now I'm back to drizzle at 34... wasn't expecting much here, but going to boxboro tomorrow morning so looking forward to seeing some fresh white.
  12. we've been on the edge of flipping here for about an hour, actually started to accumulate slush in the wet spots, good sign? think my house is too far nw for any goods, but I'll be in marlboro/boxboro tomorrow so yeah
  13. figures I'm traveling to marlboro for two weeks on Sunday, looking like jackpot zone around there
  14. This is why I have an official board, for the official measurements...and I have a personal one, that I clear half of every hour or so, and leave the other side alone for the entire event... strictly for my personal data analysis, but the board is what I report... I have been back and forth with people who argue with me about how much actually feel, because they are measuring from a driveway or heated car hood, but fail to grasp the nws board cleaning process.. btw, the difference in all the measurements are sometimes substantial, sometime not, ratio dependant
  15. Snow to beat the band here right now...holy cow, too bad the sun is still up..
  16. Nice, congrats Ray! Take the cake no? I haven't seen any higher, or is there?
  17. Yeah, arguing with multiple people on Facebook about how much snow fell as opposed to what was on whatever surface they measure on... they just couldn't comprehend how the snowboard measurement I use for the NWS report and mine, but they still argue about it...btw, nearly an inch new since 1700hrs, pure pixy dust now though...
  18. We got 10.5 here... it's now 11 as eyeballing a half inch new on the board, since the sun went down it's starting accumulation on pavement again... sucks you guys got caught in snow hole today, this time of year nickle and diming just sucks... it's big or GTFO..
  19. Yeah I'm surprised at how the rates are now, was expecting light snow, it under a mile...1/2" new ... jealous of the totals out east... congrats guys, pics are awesome!!
  20. That little weenie band has formed over my head far west... SN again...vis about 1sm
  21. Sun is trying to make it through now...wow two hours ago i was ripping 2"/hr, now it's like a nice spring day..10.5" official report.
  22. Well unless we reenergize this band, I believe this is over here... visibility has come up in the last half hour, just about 10" down, will do an official in a couple hours, but from what has fallen since I cleared, it's double digit snow... just about what I had last storm, so, two feet of snow before St Patrick's day... not bad March we got here..
  23. Just when it looks like the band is winding down it seems to pick back up again... mid-level magic ftw!
  24. 10"... still pouring... snow growth has wavered back and forth between great and good, vis still below 1/4sm
  25. Approaching 10"... the western band seems to widen almost sucking the east band west, can see a mega band setting up in CCT/MA...how much of a stall are we looking at, haven't seen much east or northwrd movement on the low in a few frames
