  1. wow what a synchronicity, was just trying to think of that word as I always see patterns in tile and wood, but could not remember the name, was thinking Apophenia but I think that is perception delusion, anyway...if we can get this face to phase, we can be in bidness for a real deal, with some deepening bomb and winds with SN+
  2. it's going to have to really rip and pour because it looks like the meat is moving quick before the slot and ZR drizzle, perhaps a few inches of SN and a couple inches of IP would be the bulk....I don't want an inch of ZR or just plain RN...
  3. I am about 6" shy of what I got all of last year, and it never snowed after 2/16 last year here, so I am hopeful we are at least going to surpass that, don't see surpassing 20-21 here, where I got 63"...gonna need one hell of a stretch to top that for the decade.
  4. and the cold leading up to whatever Thursday brings is going to really solidify it nicely
  5. mid 60's on the delmarva while we p type our way to whatever we get...
  6. Got just over an inch with this LES streamer...we pad stats...
  7. man, this parallels the best snow I've seen all winter...
  8. been ripping here from the tail end of that streamer.. about .25" of lake effect fluff, and beautiful dendies.
  9. yeah agreed, seems like it's been a grip since we had them down here, one of my memories was from 2013 the other day and that map, good Lord!
  10. hey, at this point I'll take those blues over nothing, maybe I can baby step my way to 40" this year, only need about 16... talking about no power, I had no gas for an entire winter, luckily had electric tho, so I had a plug in hot plate to heat water for bathing and closed off one room with heavy blankets and used a space heater, those were not fun times, totally my fault due to lifestyle choice, thankfully I've learned valuable lessons...
  11. we had to stay with the in-laws because of the baby
  12. yeah, I remember going out after midnight in Oct, power already gone, and just hearing nothing but tree limbs and trees snapping everywhere it was surreal, then watching the 60' spruce fall on my neighbor's house was not good, luckily nobody hurt
  13. that was the second of a week and a half of power loss that year, Irene happened a week after my kid was born and we had no power for 7, then Oct we lost for 12, with a new born...that sucked
  14. i don't want ZR, I'll take a scalping all day over that crap, never understood why anyone would want a crippling ice storm, no power, can't go anywhere, but looks pretty on trees is about it, hoping to avoid that and stay white with pellets at best here...
  15. radar blossom under LI, meso low perhaps?
  16. snizzled our way to almost half an inch here, it's been moderate at times but if this continues all night, I'll get an inch...woo.,hoo!
  17. it's been snowing here for about a half hour, we coat...ALY still saying 1-2"SN and up to .200" ice accretion, should be interesting tomorrow morning if that pans out.
  18. gfs really close to a phased event after the 20th, but extreme clown range, would be nice to have a capture and stall cutoff just dumping for a couple days though, if any period is going to deliver it'll be from the 20th to the ides of March it seems
  19. about checks out, that data I've gathered for my location goes back to late 1800s and avg is between 78-87, depending on which site, mine is more around 82, Norfolk closer to 90, they got a few hundred feet on my location though
  20. gotta say a little disappointed in the last couple events amounts, but I'll take these over cold dry and windy for days and days, at least there's something to track.
  21. little disappointed to wake up and see about 3.5-4" out there and snizzle, guess HRRR was right last night as it kept taken em down... wondering if we could get that area to wrap around and at least lay down a couple inches, but will probably fizzle by the time it rotates through
  22. lots of convection off the NJ coast blowing up... transfer underway?
  23. nice band setting up from ALY to Springfield, anything heavy under that?
  24. looks like a nice fronto band from about the pike region up to the north Mass border, expect some double digits somewhere in that area. i was hoping for some love a little more south for mby, but I'll be happy with 4-6" here, and keep the train coming
