I've had 2 50" seasons since 2016 (the magic year), 17/18 (53") and 20/21 (51", I'm 37 miles as the crow flies away, so pretty much the same exact climate. Our snow averages are different by 2"). With some very slight adjustments in storm track (probably less than 20 miles) NYC could have had upper 40s to low 50s in those seasons as well (they had 41" in 17/18 and 39" in 20/21). I think that is where "luck" comes into play (being the "winner" vs "loser" in snow cutoffs/being in the best banding) and not CC.

Every source hyped the nor'easter up. It wasnt limited to what you are posting about here. I get where you are coming from, but 100% legitimate sources did the same in this case. Some will even argue it did verify if you lived on the coast or long Island, but the hype was originally for a more widespread storm.

I didn't really rain too much with the Nor'Easter in the D1 and D2 shades to make a dent.

Sports and after school activities prohibit how much school hours can be adjusted, especially for fields that don't have lights, which are still many. You also have to take into account travel from one school to the next. Also bussing schedules

Its a personal preference, just like you like it bright later. Yeah, this month sucks leaving in the dark, but then its bright again when we change it back in 2 weeks. I don't want it dark for months. I can take 1 month.

I prefer light in the morning. It is easier for me to wake up. I despise leaving for work in the dark. My body is telling me I should be sleeping ( studies showed kids learn better in daylight as well). When the sun goes down earlier, I'm already awake, so it doesn't bother me and the weather isn't enjoyable to be outside anyway.

I'm not familiar with specific area's and coastal flooding. Did any area's flood that typically don't in these type of set-ups? On the news and social media, they always talk about the same areas it seems, so am wondering. -
I got a storm of 9" a few days before the 12" band, and 28.75" for the winter and about .5" below my wiinter average. Some areas missed out, stinks for them. Anthony was spot on on his assessment. I have pictures of every snow to prove it.

Exactly. The whole globe really has to go all in. If bits and pieces do, it really won't matter much at all.

And you have 4x more rain than I've gotten only 13 miles away as the crow flies. But since I had a freeze, my garden is done, and this doesn't bother me one bit.

It has to be global. If ALL huge economies don't buy in, it is pretty much meaningless.

Haha yup, just .11" here of mostly mist. Since we had a freeze and the garden is dead and grass mostly is done growing, I'm happy not to get the 1"+ rains. Dogs won't be muddy and soaked when they come in from their potty breaks. If it was winter though, it would have sucked, though its happened plenty of times.

Definitely saw some "damage " on some plants here today. Pretty sure growing season ended for my garden. Don't care about cities, they have had fake temps for decade.

I don't know, think about winter. We most of the time with a coastel we don't know if we are getting 1-3, 3-6 or 4-8 within a few hours before a storm hits. Most of the time it is because of the track Look over all these threads. With rain it is no different, but most the general public won't know the difference between .50" and 1.5" since the forecast said rain and it did rain.

True, but what else do you expect? Even those that you think are good do the same thing if they are trying to make a living. They are a business, just like all the ads you see on TV. It is up to the subscriber to decide whether they think Bam is good or not to hand over their $, just like with everything else we pay for. Eventually if they keep putting out crap, no one will subscribe. It is pretty easy to block them or scroll by. Imagine wasting your time doing what Don did with a post here dissecting their one post (that eventually they did amend). They are laughing at you too for doing that.
