  1. Models are too a lot of things, not just too snowy. Case in point, last year the gfs, accounting for the 3 runs per day, had philly over 100° more than 80x. The Euro was better, but it still had them over 100 numerous times. Philly reached 100 zero times last year. A nws met tracks this on a Philly board, so im not making it up. Too snowy. Too cold, but also yes, too hot. I know some can't handle that last one.
  2. We went through a great stretch that most living in our area never experienced and might never again. Some said that was the new norm too.
  3. There are a few stables around the area
  4. Without CC all ridges were perfect and we never missed storms. Obviously joking, but that is the way it reads all the time.
  5. I was riding a horse that was bucking. 87 here.
  6. When we had the thicker smoke, I was able to catch the sunspots with my cell phone. That was pretty awesome.
  7. 87 here as well. I can now see 2 additional ambient stations on my street and we all line up today. I like when that happens, haha.
  8. My current house is from 1985 and doesn't have it, but my neighbors does. I'm jealous. Like Brian said, it was perfect to put on for like 30 minutes during evenings like yesterday. The breeze it created was awesome too. My old house being a split level with the bedrooms on top level and the a/c unit pushing air from the basement that was pretty much 4 levels down was useless. Up to 86 here
  9. I found this going back a little further. From 1854-1896, that phase seemed overall cool I would say even though the chart doesn't outline that. So maybe this cool phase could last even longer? Hope not though! https://www.daculaweather.com/4_pdo_index.php This is pretty cool link for pdo as well.
  10. My old house was from the late 70s, I think 77, and had it. It seems like all the split level homes in the neighborhood had it, but the bi-levels, colonials and ranches didn't.
  11. 100x zoom. I'm not a camera expert. Thought that is what you meant.
  12. That is the only feature that I miss from my old house. We used that a lot.
  13. I didn't create it, just sent it out all over the world. 52 for the low here.
  14. It is actually 100x and it has stabilization...but when zooming in, you really need a still hand. This was around 645 this morning.
  15. I kept my hands really still. I was able to snap 3 different ones.
  16. Yes, im able to take sick pics of the sun
  17. 82-83 was 34.6" here, one of the better one's in the 80's. 97-98 is the 2nd worst snow winter of my lifetime with 5.5" Only 01-02 with 4" has been worse.
  18. Haha same, and my guy posts on this site. He helped me last year while my family was away on vacation and we got a 4" snow before Christmas.
  19. I started to measure at age 9 back in 87/88. My first year was incomplete, so I used Rutgers data since the college was partly in my town. My older brother was big into weather and even went to college for it, so we were both little snow weenies from an early age. My first 4 seasons measuring all pretty much stunk, 12.5, 17, 20 and 15". Once I was married and moved, I only moved about 14 miles west, so the data is similar. Though, if I had moved to where I am now, Boxing Day here was only 7" and 14 miles east where I was was 24". I would have flipped out! But that goes to show you, using one location and using blanket statements like the whole area is in a new climate is just not the way to go all the time and doesn't tell the whole story.
