  1. I agree with you. I think temperatures above 29° will not cause a problem on the road considering precipitation rates and standing water. .
  2. So for Knoxville, the GFS has a couple of inches of snow and 1/2” to 3/4” of ice. Total QPF is 2.6”. So 1.5 to 1.75 of true liquid falls after the frozen stuff and most of that is 1/2 of the event. I’m not seeing issues with the roads after 10 AM on Sunday. Then black ice becomes an issue overnight Sunday into Monday. .
  3. That’s not far off the UK .
  4. I felt terrible for him. It’s hard to read these mods and see our snow disappear, I can’t imagine being on here living in Halls watching it rain and reading about Maynardville 15 minutes away having 8+ inches of snow. .
  5. I’m not gonna talk bad about him, I don’t know him and I’m sure he’s a good guy but it feels like he gloats in our misery at times. What I’m doing is bad for the board and this is the last time I’m touching this subject. It’s not worth getting ran off. .

  7. lol… what is the UK doing? .
  8. Are you really here for the weather? .
  9. And this is why I’m so surprised so many are latching on to it. It’s been all over the place and made pretty wild jumps. .
  10. Sounds like Atl NWS isn’t buying the NW trends. https://x.com/justinwx02/status/2014108839042322785?s=10 .
  11. It’s getting hard to ignore the GFS even though it’s the GFS. .
  12. lol… this is what makes mods hard to take serious. .
  13. To make myself feel better, I try not to think that the storm changed right before it got here. I try to look at it as the mods were wrong to begin with. I guess either way the result is still the same. .
  14. This isn’t good but not terrible either, especially for north of Knoxville .
  15. Someone asked last week about the northwest trend and I replied with…” it only trends northwest when we don’t want it to” .
  16. We desperately need a thumbs down icon .
  17. Looks like the euro AI has more separation between the northern Stream and the Baja low .
  18. Completely agree. Let me rephrase by saying that I’m surprised they did not hold off a little longer after the next run comes out. .
  19. So the euro is on delay. Maybe they found something that’s been causing problems. .
  20. I’m surprised MRX has not given up on this yet. Not because of the winter storm watch, but because they are still thinking a significant amount of snow. They must still believe either. This is not going to go as far north, as some of the models are saying or the dynamics of the system could potentially keep it for snow longer. .
