To make myself feel better, I try not to think that the storm changed right before it got here. I try to look at it as the mods were wrong to begin with. I guess either way the result is still the same. .

Looks like the euro AI has more separation between the northern Stream and the Baja low .

Completely agree. Let me rephrase by saying that I’m surprised they did not hold off a little longer after the next run comes out. .

So the euro is on delay. Maybe they found something that’s been causing problems. .

I’m surprised MRX has not given up on this yet. Not because of the winter storm watch, but because they are still thinking a significant amount of snow. They must still believe either. This is not going to go as far north, as some of the models are saying or the dynamics of the system could potentially keep it for snow longer. .

12z it’s going to be huge. If there was in fact, some missing data at 0Z and we saw a bit of a reversal of 6Z because the data was back. We should know in a couple hours if that was legit. Even a baby step at 12z would make me feel better. .

Not saying this will have anything at all to do with this storm, but the coastal system last week trended north quite a bit by the euro at about this range and then it ended up going back to basically where it started at. I actually think there were several mods that trended north and then came back. .

I was about to ask if the blend had the ability to adjust its input on the fly based on climo and analogs. .

I used to watch him a lot more before he went commercial with his stuff and teamed up with a website called clarity that is kinda like Weatherbell on a smaller scale. Then he started at forecasting towards his clients and he ruined it for me. I know I shouldn’t be like this, but at this point I wanna see him take the L more than I care about how much snow we get. .
