4.1" same call as the hybrid clipper which pretty much verified.

Interesting tid bit here. Aurora which is normally 4-5 degrees colder than ORD at -23 at 6am while ORD is -22. Odd.

saw some the mail service is being suspended...Western IL, Minnesota,Wisconsin...and Chicago all but said they'll make an effort don't count on it.

Wouldn't be surprised to see this big warm up be cut off quickly, and end up as a brief period of Fog,Drizzle and Freezing drizzle before the next storm brings back decent cold air.

only glanced at 6Z GFS but gets Chicago with snow shield. Also getting a feel for icing as we head into the weekend on warm up

Just did the drive in excess of 4" easy. Still accumulating.

Snowing hard. Nice sized flakes. My 4.1" call may be tough to reach, and on the lower end of LOT's 3-7 " call. LOT did a nice job not over reacting to each model run and staying the course.

so LOT has me 4-7". NAM has me at 4" and GFS 7".

^ Grid for downtown is 4-7". I'm sure the qpf cut on the 00Z NAM didn't help.
