    You got it! Hoping it’s an above average winter down here, won’t take much to beat even what we had last winter in Boone.

    After 9 winters in Boone this winter will take place in Hickory, just a few miles from the airport to be exact. Non scientific but I will say that the foothills are over due for a big ice storm and several have happened in early to mid December.

    They pulled the trigger, the gun fired, and it scared them so they put the gun back in the holster until they know they have to shoot again. To be honest none of their maps have looked right to me for the storm they have basically had Charlotte getting more snow than some of the mountain areas

    I was making a jab at a guy that use to be on the forums several years “WilkesboroDude” that got the boot for being a drama queen and he’s known for saying the skies hadn’t healed enough to get a lot of precip.

    Skies have not healed enough from all the rain this year for WilkesboroDude to get that much snow, toss it!

    Plus it doesn’t make sense in the mtns provided what models have been showing.

    Eyewall has really tightened up, looks perfect on radar now. Notice I’m just west of Wilmington. Power went out about 2 hours ago. Getting some very powerful gusts.

    It came a hell of a thunder storm last night around 230am. Hellacious thunder and it absolutely poured. I’m on my way to Leland NC to ride out the storm. It’s about 20 min west of Wilmington .

    I swear the models get worse and worse every year. So far we’ve had a non existent storm become a storm with 48 hours and we’ve had a massive parade of storms at 7-10 days become non existent storms. Really pisses you off. .

    Boy what an over producer for WNC. Looks like a conveyor belt of never ending snow on the radar. Can’t remember seeing a radar look so good down stream. The orientation of the moisture is perfect where typically it’s too much west to east movement. .

    Man I really feel for South Charlotte up to Raleigh and points south and east, those folks be like… It'll miss to the south they said, We may get some light snow they said, Temps won't be an issue they said, No way it trends that far NW they said, You're going to jackpot they said, The NAM is just being the NAM they said, JB is an idiot they said, You'll only lose a little bit to rain they said, The sleet will changeover really quick they said, Just wait they said, We told you it would trend NW they said, Just stop modeling watching they said, We live in the SE what did you expect they said.
