Welp, this would make everyone in here happy lol. Richmond, DC, Norfolk, Maryland
But I know how it goes for Richmond. In the bullseye too soon. *sigh*
Oh man Pennsylvania is going to get slammed again and we are going to sleet.
Or could this be it. Could this be the one.
Let's not get to excited yet. This is what day 5? Think it was day 4 when things started trending poorly for us on the models on this last one we just had. I remember Tuesday it all looked so great, then Wednesday was like ohno
December 2018
So snow for Pennsylvania again
I think North Chesterfield has dodged the worst of this storm. Som glazing, but npthing like forecasted. I don't expect a lot of outages here at this point
*knocks on wood*
NBC12 still forecasts 0.25-0.50 inch of freezing rain from 3pm-9pm
Gotta figure what I'm going to do for my workout today since the gym is closed. Wait, my backup gym Crunch is open I think, but my 2wd truck probably wouldn't do well
Central Virginia is at about 3 inches. Just a very disappointing flake size last night. Small size reminded me of February last year. Small but constant sleet since early this morning. Mets are warning freezing rain is still likely coming
VERY IMPORTANT
Richmond is not out of the woods yet. Tv mets are warning freezing rain was not expected to have impacted power yet and that is still to come
We'll see. Models get a lot wrong around here though.
If it rains surface temps will be warmer than what they say.
Anyone know how Tennessee is looking compared to the models?
Man, idk Y'all believe the models today if you want. Fact is snow in Nashville usually means snow in Richmond. A changeover to sleet or freezing rain at night? Man, I dont buy it dude. Ive lived 3 decades in Virginia. I've seent the models get it wrong too many times the same day. I don't know all the model science. But I know it's a deep cold out there. I know snow at night here overperforms and snow in daytime underperforms. Just my experience. We'll see tonight and tomorrow.
Dude, it's cold out there. Like 21. I just can't imagije anything other than snow can fall at such temps.
33 years of life here. The thing I can't get past is the snow falling at night. That's the thing that makes me question a changeover at like 3 or 4 am.
A computer tells you it will rain while temps are 25. Are you going to believe it? I don't. I would have to see it with my own eyes. Until then I assume there has been a flaw or error. That's my gut here.
Probably looking at 4.5 is my guess right now. Hard to say. If changeover is later or sooner all models could be wrong. That could change a lot of stuff. I mean I can see one inch or 8 at this point. Lol
0z Euro was worse for Richmond vs 18z. Shame. Honestly, best scenario might be the NAM sleet over ice
