  1. 82.8F. Muggy. Will we get T-shower? Doubtful.
  2. Last meaningful rainfall was May 15 with 0.78". Otherwise, only 0.03" couple days ago. By July, the lawn should look fantastic.
  3. I'm going to try this stuff but there's little to no rn in the forecast
  4. Here's the final product. About 25 different shrubs, perennials and other bushes. Many are small now, but will get much larger. After many failed attempts of getting grass to grow in this spot, we thought this would look nice. Now we have to bring in more topsoil in the Fall and reseed the surrounding area around the mulch bed with grass seed. I'm confident that with good topsoil we can get grass to grow consistently well. I will say we need some rain quite desperately as the soil is bone dry.
  5. Work has begun to transform this failed lawn area with more natural landscaping with shrubs and such. Before and during. Will post when she's done.
  6. haven't cut the lawn yet. Letting it grow to get through the heat of this week. She's pretty tall (10") in the areas where there is growth. I'm putting minimal effort into this this summer.
  7. timefortucks website no longer has the forum feature. Anyone know if this is due to covid? I assume people are still hiking to ski
  8. 36.1f. Most of the snow gone but stiff NW wind and squalls atm. Pretty ridiculous for mother's day wknd
  9. I've not seen grubs in our lawn, but I treated for them anyways yesterday. Can't let the rest of the lawn get killed. Chinchbugs is the other likely culprit. Turkeys have digging a lot around the yard which suggests grubs, but every time I check I dont see any.
  10. Back to looking at how to deal with last summers disaster
  11. Is now a good time to put down some Grub-Ex or should I wait a while? Also, I want to put down some treatment for chinch bugs which I believe destroyed our lawn last summer. Is it better (and more environmentally friendly) to apply a combo product or should I apply 2 different stand-alone treatments?
  12. Given how much of our lawn got wiped out last season and mostly dead, I'm skipping the fertilizer for the most part. I will put some grub control down in the good spots.
  13. Skied Sunday River yesterday. Mob scene there. Sunny skies made it nice, but a lot of trails were boilerplate with large swaths of ice. Some recent snowmaking efforts got scraped off fast. None of the woods trails are even open. We need snow bad.
  14. Been on that tbar too. Great fun . I like tbars.
  15. Loved the tbar. About halfway up there was a steep section that would briefly tug hard. Some people would fall there
  16. Was just going to post this. Great news
