  1. Actually there is some, but since I'm not diligent about removing the snow from the davis before it melts, my rainfall totals are not very accurate for the year. Meanwhile, won't be needing to mow or fertilize the lawn any time soon. The front yard is turning into a desert.
  2. I don't know what our July avg is supposed to be, but I recorded 71.9F. 3. Porked here. Literally 2 min of sprinkles then she died. Ground is parched
  4. Wtf. Everyone along the front in Maine gets rn except sebago south
  5. I've always liked watching planes and amazed at their capabilities and the pilots vast knowledge and experience to deal with last minute changes like today's weather. My wife's a flight attendant out of Boston, so I get to hear about a lot of stories.
  6. Didn't even wet the pavement. Hoping the line coming will hold up but appears to be disapating
  7. Are there two fronts coming through (black lines). either way jokers to the north and south get the goods
  8. Just a quick search on zoysia grass makes me wish I had planted this. Sounds perfect for our exposed property.
  9. storms go north, storms go south, but nothing in between
  10. Nah. I fired tru green couple yrs ago. I do it myself. Back by the road is very nice and lush cause it's shady there, but sun areas just get baked and the slopes are hard to retain the moisture.
  11. yeah, not counting on much if anything. what's a guy gotta do to get a damn storm?? lawn in back is cooking away
  12. Dumb question, but how come in hot/humid stretches like this ,the border areas like in the map below manage to get early morning storms, before the atmosphere heats up and becomes more unstable, while down here we have to wait typically until late day when temps/humidity are peaked?
  13. Summer tstorms seem like a thing of the past around here. I swear it's been about 3 yrs since we've had a good one
  14. Severe tstorm warning. I'm sure we'll be missed
  15. yep, you're right. Had the wrong cat #.
  16. thanks. Scaled is running a sale now. $790 for new sys w/out console. Does not incl UV/radiation.
  17. IDK Jeff, I put a FARS on the Davis about 3yrs ago and it stopped working not long after. Found out that the fan blades were/are hitting on the shroud, stopping it from spinning. Sometimes if I tap on the rn bucket, she'll start to spin, but I've kinda given up on it. So, without FARS, you'd think my temps would be running a little higher and possibly inaccurate, but I've got no other temp sensor to compare to. I'm thinking it's time to scrap the old Davis, now 15yrs old and get a new one. Pricey buggers though. Meanwhile, only 2.1" rn for the month. What's everyone else got?
