  1. 6.1F was the low. Just what we need to freeze the ground up, but the lakes and ponds if skimmed over will probably be broken up with the wind from the storm
  2. Wife flying out noon Thurs. Think Logan will have big delays or cancelations?
  3. You'll have a nice Xmas. We'll have patchy remnants of crusty brown snow
  4. Was snowmobiling across Flagstaff last year over to the Lodge. Always a little nervous riding down that lake.
  5. Low of 16.7F looks to have been cold enough to skim some ice over Raymond Pond. Hoping we can keep some of the wintery appeal through the weekend.
  6. you know darn well we'll get a nice soaking grinch storm between xmas and NY.
  7. In the 8yrs we've lived on tenney hill, this storm produced the largest snowfall gradient over very small elevation changes. A friend of ours lives on Sebago and they only received 1.5". We got 11.5" at 730', yet areas just down the road at ~300' had about half. When I got down towards windham, even less. It's nice when living at some elevation produces during early and late season events. doesn't happen often, but this was the best for us.
  8. Yeah, I don't know where or why they made that statement, but it didn't seem accurate to me.
  9. Guess we got lucky getting our power back yesterday late afternoon. CMP estimates it'll be Weds night until everyone is restored. They made a comment this was the worst storm/outage of the century. I'm scratching my head on that one. I saw one tree across some lines on our little drive yesterday to scope things out. The lower elevations had no snow on the trees and overall, the damage looked pretty insignificant to me. I though Hurricane Irene (2011) was much worse in terms of damage.
  10. Ours back on. I'm leaving genny out for the night just in case. Spectrum cable back on line too
  11. As soon as I put genny away, power went back off. Classic
  12. Very elevation dependent storm. At 300' only a few inches of snow and nothing on trees. Up by our house at 730', big difference. Lots of birch benders. Last pic is Long Lake, Naples
