  1. @CAPE gets buried. 1-3" for the cities, he gets 4-6"
  2. It's a juiced up low, precip maps are broken so lots of that rain is snow falling at 33-34.
  3. UKIE is super close to something for the cape storm. 2-4" verbatim I think.
  4. It's not a cutter, it's not suppressed, it literally went poof. 100% gone.
  5. GFS went poof for the @NorthArlington101 storm.
  6. Man is that GFS close to something significant
  7. I would agree. With a -PNA the GFS is the best scenario for our area. There are literally two 1045 arctic highs keeping that storm down. I'd like to see a neutral PNA such that our margin for error is more.
  8. "Bigness" is the most esoteric meterology term. Not even Ji could understand what that means.
  9. Dude, the backend of the storm drops 6-12" over DC and Baltimore
  10. Nothing like waking up in the morning to -10F in the DMV
  11. Ji won't be happy with mixing. Sound the alarms and prepare.
  12. 2-4" of sleet and 8-12" of fluffy snow for DC. It would definitely be the storm of the decade.
  13. with the flip back to 12" of fluffy snow, I would sign for the GFS right now.
  14. GFS filps back to snow for the cities.
  15. GFS is an absolute sleet fest. It would be a fun storm, just not the one we want.
  16. January 6th 2025 storm trended 200 miles south in 7 days, and it's the GFS
  17. You know what model will show it? The GFS. Then it'll keep showing it until the Euro shows it. But the JV CMC and UKIE and ICON won't show it. Then the GFS trends away, then the Euro, and we get nothing. OR The JV models will show it, and we get a 12+" blizzard.
  18. reverse march 2001 trends will happen on the NAM, because it's the NAM
  19. It's not Nino = cold and snowy and Nina = warm and dry. If that were the case seasonal forecasts would be easy.
  20. so much for my analysis, apparently it's cold and dry and I suck. talk to the meteorologists and the good posters if you want real analysis.
