  1. yall are overanalyzing this GFS run lol. it's basically just noise
  2. A shift towards the Euro? Not in the slightest. 12z NAM was worse than 18z NAM.
  3. It was better than the 12z, looked pretty decent actually.
  4. The trend over the last several model runs has been to dig the trough more SW, priming it for an earlier negative tilt. The earlier the negative tilt, the closer we get to a bigger Raleigh-Boston winter storms.
  5. Two things are for certain: 1. We need snow within the next 10 days or I think we'll all go crazy 2. @winter_warlock posts 6-words-or-less sentences, one of those words being "lol"
  6. If the NAM shows snow = it's not gonna snow but it's funny to look at If the NAM shows a warm nose issue = there will definitely be a warm nose issue and we still won't get snow
  7. It's a fair question. I'm often on my school-provided laptop, so when I finish my work I usually pop in here.
  8. I'm definitely thinking about it... I've still got three years until college, though, so I'll see where life takes me and reassess throughout the next 36 months
  9. Euro actually a tick SE with the precipitation lol
  10. So far, Euro looks better at h5. Surface results TBD
  11. I'm genuinely surprised that I've been mentioned here. Thought I provided nothing but here we are. Today I'll be thanking @SnowenOutThere. Firstly, thank you for creating this thread. This forum definitely needs something like this, and maybe the other subforums can take a hint from this. Secondly, I would like to applaud you for your amazing posts. You're a top 5 poster IMO. The quality has improved rapidly, and whenever you post I learn a lot from you. And lastly, thank you for being so supportive of me by putting up with my BS. It's really helped me to find a place in this forum.
  12. Consensus on the GEFS is there for a more juiced up system, also a slight NW trend
  13. There's a south based +NAO when this system happens (taken out of Chuck's playbook). Usually the trend is -NAO = SE trend, +NAO = NW trend.
  14. @NorthArlington101 storm is a cutter on the Euro
  15. @CAPE gets buried. 1-3" for the cities, he gets 4-6"
  16. It's a juiced up low, precip maps are broken so lots of that rain is snow falling at 33-34.
  17. UKIE is super close to something for the cape storm. 2-4" verbatim I think.
  18. It's not a cutter, it's not suppressed, it literally went poof. 100% gone.
  19. GFS went poof for the @NorthArlington101 storm.
