I am really thinking this event turns into a Jan 16, 2024 type of thing where it gets much better last minute.

100%. We threw away Jan 6 for being a "cutter" in late-December. Lately things have trended from rain to snow, warmer to colder.

Just your average backend 4-8 inches of snow from a cutter after 1-2 inches of torrential 35 degree rain.
