  1. Some boring weather the last 6-8 weeks in NE Colorado
  2. I was looking (not on my own free will mind you) at some old scrap books from past Christmases during the holidays. In the mid-80s I think there's a note in the scrap book that it was in the 60s on Christmas. This was central PA. Hardly anything new.
  3. Seems like wind-blown snow will be a bigger issue than falling snow for most.
  4. GFS has been pretty consistent the last 4 runs. If it ends up wrong, it'll go down swinging
  5. Yeah the GFS has been taking the snow well south of the Denver metro area the last couple runs
  6. Plains look pretty dry the rest of the year
  7. Things look pretty boring for NE Colorado the next couple weeks
  8. A station just a mile or 2 north of me is reporting 14.5", so I'll go with 14 and be very happy with it.
  9. Bonus snow squall here on the Palmer Divide to get the temps below freezing
  10. NWS upped the floor amounts for most of the area.
  11. First time in my adult life I'm not traveling anywhere for Thanksgiving, so let it snow!
  12. GFS has had it for the most part the last 8 runs or so, but still varying widely each time, which isn't surprising this far out
  13. GFS keeps going back and forth with what it wants to do with next week's system.
  14. Unsurprisingly the 12z backs off mega storm totals but still gives a nice storm. Definitely something to keep an eye on
  15. GFS pummels eastern Colorado with that storm
  16. Hopefully a bit more of that moisture finds it way into the Denver area.
  17. It was sunny at 60 at 11:30, now less than 2 hours later, it's 30 with an eerie fog
  18. Well it only makes sense that the season goes above average when you get extra snow in a time period not typically known for significant snow.
  19. I bottomed out at -1. -45 would be a bit too chilly.
  20. My forecast was 8-12", gonna need a couple inches from these last couple bands to get to 8"
  21. Got 6" or so here. My first "real" snow experience after moving from Maryland and the fact schools didn't close is such a wonderful thing. In MD they'd close for an inch of snow, or even the threat of snow.
  22. The good stuff seemed to stay a bit further south and west than forecast with a pretty sharp cutoff. MBY got 3" of the 5-8" forecast, yet they got double that 8 miles south.
