I was looking (not on my own free will mind you) at some old scrap books from past Christmases during the holidays. In the mid-80s I think there's a note in the scrap book that it was in the 60s on Christmas. This was central PA.
Hardly anything new.
Got 6" or so here. My first "real" snow experience after moving from Maryland and the fact schools didn't close is such a wonderful thing. In MD they'd close for an inch of snow, or even the threat of snow.
The good stuff seemed to stay a bit further south and west than forecast with a pretty sharp cutoff. MBY got 3" of the 5-8" forecast, yet they got double that 8 miles south.
