  1. Big win if there's 1-3 that's for sure. I'm concerned the RGEM shows nothing. Some bad luck with this system and the last with them being centered around mid-day vs overnight.
  2. Will see snow, but accumulation? Not much if any. Unlikely. Very rare event. Once the drier air rushes in, things will dry out fast especially with it being mid-day in March.
  3. yeah, I don't see much for the coast here-very rare to have precip last long enough for the cold air to come in not to mention rain warmed ground and middle of the day in mid-March....maybe a coating on the grass...
  4. Apples and oranges-there is a warm airmass in place here for this event. Other storms with a +NAO had cold in place....This is likely 90% rain for the coast with maybe an hour of snow/white rain at the end....
  5. Given the high price of oil and natural gas that might be more of a blessing this year...
  6. heavy snow here but back edge of the heavy stuff looks to be an hour away maybe?
  7. that's the difference we are at 32-33 here. You get it later in the day too. Have a coating here on grass but that's about it.
  8. Or even night time. Not going to accumulate during day with temps just above freezing
  9. Absolutely. Often the decision has to be made at 5am and they go with what they have at that hour. With that said, there are some that are really a head scratcher-for example the 2/4 "ice storm" Was ice really going to accrete in the middle of the day with temps falling to 32 after hours and hours of rain and temps in the low 40's? - about half the schools here are not air conditioned and we are up to 6/22 for end of school now-that becomes the problem too....
  10. same here but not sticking to anything-white rain baby!
  11. 2 of our school closures were for roads that were wet. Ridiculous.
  12. Two 8 inch storms here but that was about it-short winter too with Dec being a torch
  13. Road will just be wet regardless-marginal temps and March Sun Angle. You would think they would know this by now after so many busted calls in March going back a few years.
  14. LOL. On time here and no early D. Finally got one right.....
  15. Cloudy and 36 here. Nothing yet. Not expecting anything other than maybe a coating on the grass. Worst timing for this with the mid-day peak of precip rates.
  16. 3-4 inches on the grass is likely in the heaviest precip area north of the metro. If this were a night time storm it would be double that....
  17. How often does that happen? These post frontal storms often don't work out.
