Snowfall totals:

The wind killed the potential for higher amounts. We could have easily seen 20"+ without the winds. Whenever we see high winds in the forecast for LES event we know to cut totals by 25-30%.
An active pattern setting up. A chance for snow pretty much everyday the next 10 days. Enjoy it, it's a really rare pattern. Potential for LES/enhanced events to pop up out of no where.
Just a odd year really. Eastern/South central NY don't come near the averages of WNY/Syracuse area. They are just having a good year due to predominant storm track.
Oh yeah, and where ever you move becomes a snow hole.
Yeah that's the next potential event and could be a massive one. Latest GFS shows more WNW winds after showing WSW/SW for days straight. As this is Eries likely last hurrah, strongly cheering for WSW/SW to get one last strong band going.
Thanks hoping for one more good event this year. If it happens its coming next weekend. After that the lake will be frozen and if something comes up I'll be chasing off the tug.
Actually I think this is my favorite video, The end of it is just insane. I couldn't see anything. I wish I got into the heaviest stuff early this morning. Regret not chasing sooner.
Went storm chasing today, got some good videos. Whiteout conditions around here, band hit hardest north and east of my location in and around the city of Buffalo
