  1. A potent shortwave trough and associated cold front will arrive late this afternoon. Height falls associated with the approaching wave combined with diurnal heating will bring the likelihood of showers and thunderstorms starting after 4 PM. Decent instability develops with MLCAPES around 2000 J/kg and combined with some marginal shear profiles some storms may produce gusty winds and perhaps some hail. Though it appears that the storms will be progressive, there will be the potential for tropical downpours and localized flooding.
  2. Despite all the dreary days and rain, temps are pretty close to normal for Buffalo/Watertown, a little below for ROC BUF: -.3 ROC: -2.1 WAT: -.5
  3. Nothing is really safe. I work in banking and there is more fraud than ever before. I feel like cybersecurity is more easily integrated into crypto than any banking transfers/purchases. Crypto has a large future.
  4. Yeah false positives, too risky for me. Was going to go to Europe but sticking with the USA until at least next year. We have a trip planned to Chile/Argentina in March of next year, but even that might have to be delayed.
  5. The testing is so bad too, this is why I'm avoiding international travel until 2022.
  6. You should email them or tag in twitter. I did it to Buffalo NWS and they corrected the instrument error last summer.
  7. We were always due for a recession. We are on the 2nd longest bull run in history. I expect a 10-15% correction within 2 years. The entire market is propped up by the US government printing money. That is not a way to improve an economy long term. Its a shot of adrenaline and nothing more.
  8. We're going to pay for all this rain. Watch in winter we get a drought. Usually 6 months cycle we see the trough/ridge reverse. Looking like another Nina coming too.
  9. Alright you guys got your rain, time for some summertime weather.
  10. We need to ship this rain out west. They are struggling right now. Buddies in Glacier national park where I'm going next month and the sky is full of smoke.
  11. I didn't mind paying that as it was my first sporting event in almost 2 years. It was fun to get out with the family and support a once in a lifetime event in Buffalo. But usually I agree with you. I stick to one beer a sporting event during the game.
  12. I think you have a chance as heaviest stuff is between now and the game.
  13. Was an amazing night besides the 3 $10 beers I got. It had to be closed to sold out, was tough finding parking. I thought the rain would scare people away, but obviously not the case in Buffalo. Ticket's were $38 each plus fees so around $44 total. Was a once in lifetime experience, already announced they are leaving July 30th. Will never forget it, Vlad is the best player in league too. Youngest MVP all star winner in history of the league. Dude is insane.
  14. Missed the heavy stuff at the game just light rain at times. 10-2 win for Blue Jays with 6 home runs, 2 from Vlad. Best player in the league
  15. I'm seeing a few rays of sunshine through the clouds.
  16. I'm cheering for that last minute NW trend we see in winter.
  17. Looks pretty dry across southern WNY towards Cleveland. If that doesn't fill in we might be okay. All the models have heavy stuff overnight into tomorrow.
