  1. Average high/low at Buffalo for Nov 1st is 53/38, by Nov 30th its 41/29. Need pretty big departures in beginning of month.
  2. You need a lot to go right in early November to get LES in the lower elevations but definitely some signals there.
  3. Have you been up in the high peaks during a snowstorm? Wind speeds above 4K feet on open summits can be well over 100 mph with whiteout conditions. The strongest winds I’ve ever felt were on top of a high peak in February of 2019, had to be 90 mph. You’ll never see snowfall rates in the adk like you’ll see in a strong band off the tug but temps are insanely cold at the summits, and wind speeds are insane. The scariest part is getting stuck up there in a bad storm, many times 7-8 mile walk back to the car.
  4. I'm so sorry bro. My grandpa had dementia for a few years before he passed, it was the saddest thing in the world. It's literally my biggest fear. I'd rather have my body go before my brain did.
  5. Hooker NY holds the record east of the rockies at 466.9" in 1976-77
  6. pretty crazy. the rotation in the CC drop I posted above was definitely a TOG too. We've picked up a crapload of rain today, has to be well over an inch.
  7. Long range is all over the place, some cold signals out there. Many calling for pattern change around mid Nov.
  8. I hope you’re right. But that map features a consistent negative pna pattern. Looks like a bad pacific to me.
  9. That’s a pretty warm map. I would think +2-5 for winter if that map come to fruition.
  10. How is the northwest always colder then normal now? That’s like 5 straight years…
  11. It's a different world up there. Winter is Late Sep until early June lol.
  12. I'm not sure, but the cold pool of water in the gulf of alaska is the last thing you ever want to see right before winter starts.
  13. Yeah that time period is pretty locked in for warmth I think. Its on all ENS guidance and close enough for somewhat good accuracy
  14. It may be a rough winter. This is exactly what happened in 2011-2012. Lets hope it doesn't last through winter, it rarely does.
