Got to 53.1° around noon but quickly clouded over with intermittent showers, and in one instance - a brief spurt of heavy graupel. Also started to frame the garage/barn. Progress has been, uh, slow.

Look up at the sun through them before the eclipse. If you go, "ow, that's too bright", I would get different ones.

Now you guys are making me feel guilty about my dirty truck! Back when I lived on pavement, I did have a 4th gen RAM that I kept clean. Here's proof! Black wheels and BFG KO2s will eventually find their way on my Silverado 2500.

Last few afternoon frames from the 12z GFS for the torch enthusiasts! Clown range caveat, of course. An extrapolated 390 hour frame would be even hotter, too.

Ha! In all seriousness though, that really is an awesome view, and nice neighborhood too! For some reason I always forget how hilly Connecticut is, even just west of Hartford. I should probably drag the chairs out to the decks today too - they aren't Adirondack chairs though!

Incredible view, but I really doubt you can see the Adirondacks from Connecticut, even at 1140 ft!

54.0° here compared to 52.4° at the same time yesterday. Should be able to hit 60° today!

Going to stretch the definition of NNE and sneak some photos from MBY in. River is ice free now, and what little snow there is will be gone in the next couple days. Might be the last "cold season" photos I take back there.

Fair enough. I guess my view is that a truck is meant to be dirty, worked, worn, etc., as that's its function - not a fan of the pavement princess look on a truck. I wouldn't own a 2500 were it not for the fact I also own a heavy trailer. If it were a nice car, that'd be a different story. Those guys and gals over in Stuttgart have nearly convinced me to make a reckless financial decision on more than one occasion...

Latest photo I could find was from mid Feb. Look at that patina! And the dents I've already put in the hood from when I ran the thing into a ditch after the Jan 7th storm!

Town made the interesting decision to plow one half of my road and leave a snow bank nearly halfway in the middle. Not that it matters - it'll all melt in a couple days.

I just got power back after Eversource intentionally cut it for a couple hours to make repairs. Measured a 34 mph gust here early this morning - which is actually pretty impressive given my anemometer is so wind sheltered it might as well be buried underground.

Oof, just lost power for a second there. Guess that's what I get for making fun of the wind. With the chimney work happening, the heat's been off all day in the house as well. Hoping power doesn't go overnight, cause it gonna' get cold in here.
