Subsudence is gonna nip someone in the culo,rn we are getting pummeled with hvy snow up and down.

Everything in the bronx has been covered for a while including pavement,starting temps were cooler at the onset resulting in minimal rain/drizzle.

Its crazy to start seeing the differences from south to north. Northern parts of nyc are already over an inch, Southern parts just starting to get coatings down. This snow isnt wet anymore,its fluffy stuff now. 29/28f moderate to hvy snow currently.

Moderate snow currently,31/30f. Temps are a tick cooler then was expected,diurnal heating is almost done. Snow is going to pile up fast tonight.

My temp has dropped from 35 to 31. The precip shield is quickly approaching. All snow is forecasted here. 25 mins of drizzle to start,its been snow since.

The nws prob has newer data,which warranted an immediate blizzard warning for all coastal areas The nam is the first to show a possible verification of this. Lest not forget all the other models who also have a 80% alignment with what's being printed out with the current nam.

Well this winter has been dealing games of the mind,no reason old man winter just folds now.

Bombogenesis is a real thing,we just dont experience as much of that in recent years. It can def go from meh to wtf in hours.

Ive been watching the navy models (navgem) for days with this same track. Kind of interesting along with the japanese model.

Yeah that's what im saying, the city wasn't prepared. Although the models also had the yips. Ended up with close to 14 inches here. After a prediction of 4 to 8 a day before.

Never underestimate the groundhogs ability to keep winter going. He might the most reliable forecaster at this point.
