GFS is basically identical but 50 miles south. That’s good agreement at 72hrs.

I’m sure you’d agree, but it may be good agreement but with this small-ish storm with such a narrow stripe of snow, those are still big differences to try to make a forecast on lol

I agree, but if it's raining and the temperature is below freezing it's still considered freezing rain lol. Just because it's not glazing all surfaces doesn't change that. It can snow and not accumulate. That doesn't mean it's not snowing lol. The original reason for my comment was to say that I think some people think freezing rain means literally frozen rain, like ice pellets, which is just not true.

Yeah a lot of people get freezing rain and sleet mixed up.

Trying to explain freezing rain to someone that just doesn't get it. They walked outside and said "It's just rain..."

I tried explaining that freezing rain is just regular rain that falls into surface temperatures below freezing and creates a glaze of ice on cold surfaces. Then they pointed at a puddle in the street and said it's not frozen. I tried to explain that the pavement stays warmer than surfaces like railings, tree limbs, power lines etc. They went on to argue that if it's not freezing to the street then it's just regular rain. I gave up lol.

Who really cares if it’s not freezing on the pavement though, just my opinion. I don’t care I the trees are getting a little ice or the railing lol

Houses can be bought and sold Chris, come on lol. Leave Dundalk like I did and find your way to the snowy promise lands.

Lol I got a federal first time home buyers grant. I’m locked in for 5 years whether I like it or not

You need to move out of the city and get some elevation.  You're in a bad spot for snow.

I’m in 30 year mortgage. Snow is gonna have to find a way to come to me. I promise I won’t feed it thru the snowblower

It seems rates are the key here. Anything beyond light is snow. The lulls are a mix
