  1. It was and my point is, I don’t enjoy damage. I don’t enjoy being without power, without water. Call me crazy...I like to take a shit and flush the toilet, take a shower, and use electronics. Sure watching interesting weather unfold is cool to track or see...from afar... but that’s it.
  2. No, I don’t want to experience it all. Why is that so hard to understand?
  3. You and Ditty, both weird. I spent months cleaning up after May 18 EF1, never again no thanks.
  4. Yup. I hate damage imby and feel sympathetic to those who have to suffer through it. Sure it’s part of our weenie nostalgia but that doesn’t mean I hope for it. I have like 5/6 trees I want to cut down....just need to find time and get some friends to help.
  5. Jimmy....But what if you watch the Patties loose AND you miss out on weather history?
  6. Devastating situation for Grand Bahama with how it practically stalls over the island.
  7. It will be but further S track the euro depicts ain’t much better for you.
  8. Glad you have a have a woman by your side again.
  9. Yea...my round yesterday, yikes. Sometimes I feel like I regress. 43 on front which is pretty good considering a slope 147, but the back just a complete meltdown until I rescued myself on 17 and 18. I dunno, just haven’t played enough nor practiced last two seasons esp this year to get going. Down for a gtg. The Ranch would be a good spot as someone mentioned but maybe better off next spring?
  10. Luckily no one seriously injured with the lightning strike. Poor job by East Lake and PGA officials not clearing the course early enough.
  11. I’ve had some awful years when I was playing more (spending more) before I had kids. Frustrating, especially if you’re super competitive with yourself. It’s a benefit to take a break, regroup. During breaks...I’ll watch more videos especially over winter and just work on body and weight shift movements in the mirror. We tend to forgot the hands and club are the last piece of the puzzle, not the first. Once I understood that, even during poor stretches, I improved and could bounce back quicker.
  12. Swollen weenie...could be a winner with the wifey.
  13. Playing Pound Ridge this Sunday. Anyone in the area knows how hard this Pete Dye course is, especially for a 12 HC...I’ll have my hands full. Haven’t played much this season with a newborn so I’m going in with zero expectations. Pray.
  14. This is an oldie but goodie: https://agupubs.onlinelibrary.wiley.com/doi/full/10.1029/2012GL051000
  15. Even bad winters nowadays have close to ‘normal’ snowfall. Sure you get your ratters like 11/12 (though you still get a KU) or last season with practically no sign of winter in DJF but you sandwich two large events in Nov and Mar. It’s just ‘easier’ to make up deficits today then 30/40 years ago, at least it seems that way. It’s obviously a combination of so many things, we can’t figure it out, but it sure does look AGW is a big player.
  16. I can’t stand Reed but that was a great final round not many outside the golfing world watched. Crowd at Liberty National seemed thin too.
  17. Everyone is better off tracking siberian snow cover.
  18. No correlation is that simple, of course. But we use what we can and what we have to make best educated ‘guesses’ on what may happen. What else do you do for season forecasting....just say “anything can happen” and call it complete?
  19. I wonder what the following winters where, after a summer of +qbo, -epo, -ao/-nao.
  20. Or one that backs up to a private course.
