  1. Could be cooler than preferred but a clear afternoon will work. Getting some fireworks tomorrow to put on a display for the kids. Wife thinks it’s a bad idea as I tend to end up in the ER when I get spontaneous but even if I lose a finger or two...as long as the kids are happy.
  2. Should be mostly clear (no precip) for Saturday though, right?
  3. It was only $42 to walk it on a weekend. I’ll make the 1.5hr drive for that anytime for a great track and getting the round in at 4hrs. If you find Callaways, just thank me...I sprayed several of them OB.
  4. Yea. Any big heat arrives after the 4th weekend as the block loosens.
  5. Yea. Follows the theme of a not so overly torchy summer forecasts that I’ve seen . Thesedays we’ll always be a couple C AN from higher mins and CC. The heat will come but I don’t know if we get that big time regionwide heat wave stretch of 95-100 this season for more than a day here or there. 90/60ish works though for summer activities though.
  6. Played Crumpin Fox. Wish i hadn’t. Had a stretch of 5 pars in a row on the back but other than that, it was a struggle. 47/43.
  7. Battery operated is the way to go. The only thing I have left is to get the Ryobi ride on mower and I’m gas free with my tools. Eventually, it’s on to cars.
  8. Struggled at Unionvale on Saturday. Of course I was crushing it off the tee (usually my weakest part of my game) but struggled with my irons (usually my strongest part of my game). Putted ok. Just never got into the groove. Signed a 47/42 scorecard. Meh.
  9. Just make it snow a lot. It’s pathetic when winter feels like spring and spring feels like winter.
  10. That’s a good deal. Enjoy your round. Paid 50 today to walk.. but I always like to walk it.
  11. If we can combine our games, we’d be scratch golfers ha. Had 33 putts today, pretty decent.
  12. 41/41 at Wintonbury Hilllls. Struggled off the tee a bit again. If I can fix that, I’ll start breaking 80 this season.
  13. Well the last two winters were Nino’s, right?, so it can’t get any worse.
  14. Yea, 300 is maxed out. 275ish is a reasonable drive for a decent amateur though. Wind, elevation, firmness...all factors.
  15. I’m around 280-300 depending on a variety of factors. I just don’t use my driver often cuz I hit my 3W more consistently straight in the 250 range and I’m rarely playing off the tips to need the extra yardage anyway.
  16. Subscribe to this guys channel. A lot of good stuff. Here’s a driving video to stop slicing:
  17. Duck hooks are usually the result of being too ‘handsy’. Work on getting your weight shifted to the front side and let the hands follow/trail. The body will take care of the hands.
  18. Nice playing gents. There’s been great weather for it but I’ve been caught between outdoor projects and work. I did play last Thur at Wintonbuy Hills. Love the layout and played solo off an 11am tee time. So I Played two balls but only kept score on my 1st. Struggled to find my swing on the front but found it on the back. 47/40. Will probably play it again next week. Enjoy the PGA this weekend. A much needed return.
  19. Ah, didn’t know I had to...thought it was just another section of this forum.
  20. I tried before and just now and for some reason all I get is ads on the page. There aren’t any threads I can see.
  21. A pivotal time in American history. They will have what transpired in 2020 in textbooks (or ebooks) for future generations to come. Let’s hope it wasn’t all for nothing though and that systematic change happens...because the system has never worked for everyone.
  22. I love Fox Hop. I have off Thur and Fri next week. Fri looks like the better day so if anyone is down to play just let me know by Tuesday so I can book it on GolfNow. Otherwise, I’ll head up to Winton Hills in Bloomfield instead, shorter drive if playing solo.
