I was in Shelton then and yup, woke up to sunny skies and birds chirping. So I took a drive up the merritt and as I got close to 91 you can see the wall of white like a thunderstorm in the summer. I Continued the drive to my job in Manchester and just stayed in the parking lot for a few hours, got stoned… walked around, etc. it was a cool experience but when you return home to a sandy 6” with the sun shining and the asphalt glistening, it was deflating. -
Fair enough, you right. Jan15 haunts us out here so it’s been tough to avoid the similarities.

All good but yea, I agree. I only weigh the big 4, Euro, gfs, uk, cmc, so when the only amped model which has an amped bias starting sliding east at 0z last night towards the other 3, in addition to past experience, yea it was frustrating (won’t deny it). Like, at some point, you’d think the ‘best model’ will score one for this backyard because it has given us several big events in the past inside d3 but end up wrong.

I admit the eps has had left leaners for days which was a big reason for our optimism but it hasn’t propagated to the op yet, outside of the 0z run from two nights ago. I try to take one run at face value but the trends instead. So far, 18z euro is just a blip within the east trends. If 0z ticks nw some and others tick too, then we have something.

That’s what I meant with fast flow. If we had some semblance of a traffic jam in the maritimes, it’s a better outcome. There are other issues also though that have trended unfavorably.

They always do in fast flows. Models, the euro, overdo the phasing. Of course if this phased over the mountains of WV, it would be dead nuts accurate.

Ditto. We called the UK drunk but it clearly was trying to tell us something. EMA should still salvage a good storm though.
