  1. It’s time to ween ourselves off the oil tit.
  2. Agree. Anyway, there are bigger problems to address so for now…I’ll enjoy rolling up a coating of snow on the lawn with my kid for a miniature snowman.
  3. I know it’s not an easy decision. There was a guy who tried to show me up a few storms back on this very topic. I get it, sure…but it’s their job and they have the best forecasters supposedly advising them. We should never put teachers and students in danger, absolutely, but their seems to be minimal attention on the affects to parents. We both wfh so no big deal but we not all parents can and not all parents can take PTO either. The worst is daycare though. When they close, you still pay for the day and end up scrambling to find a sitter, which you pay $15-$20/hr for. It’s a double whammy, fairly substantial imo. All I am saying is to make the hit on families worthwhile. A true ‘snowstorm’ closure.
  4. Spot on. Laziness has not changed. It’s an American past time.
  5. They’ve had a terrible season up here…matching the snow output from mother nature. Ratter all around.
  6. I think they get their forecast for DIT. Snows for days with lolis to 6”.
  7. Brutal season here. One of the worst I can recall. It is what is though, we get ready for spring now.
  8. Schools on an emergency 3hr schedule today, 9-12 lol. Good call yet again.
  9. It’s over bud. Maybe a rogue shortwave sniffs the Ron Washington party favors you’ve been selling all season…
  10. Another nuisance and last snower in a rat season. Enjoy.
  11. Yea, Definitely. I’m not claiming human actions are equally proportional throughout time though. Maybe I did make the claim, reading back, mistakenly so. My attempt was to conclude, for example, a random crime in Arkansas 50yrs ago probably never made its way to the NewEng public whereas today, it would. Multiply such info delivered to us X amount of times per day…and we perceive the world has gone mad.
  12. Fringe ideologies are spread quicker and easier, and people are more susceptible to them. True. What I was mostly referring to, however, was what used to take hours, days, weeks, or even months for bad news to travel around the world (if at all) now takes just a few minutes. That’s a function of more press, camera phones, social media, etc catching events which have always been there but went unnoticed/unrecorded and swept under the rug. Humans have always been savages…thirsty for money, power, control…claiming land over each other. Dictating superiority over others based on looks and beliefs. We just see it front and center more so then ever.
  13. Shitty times man, just keep plugging away though. GL.
  14. Don’t get blinded by govt watchdogs though while the private sector is collecting your data this very second.
  15. They keep piling it on, shrinking the middle class more and more. While the bottom 90% are fighting each other over political and social issues, that barely move the needle, the top 10% rake in more and more.
  16. Yup. Just think if humans had the modern social technology back during any moment in time that we have now. WW2, WW1, American civil war, etc…if we were to apply current tech infrastructure during those times, we’d draw the same conclusions. We’re a flawed specie so placing the wrong one in a position of strength and power…bad shit happens. Doesn’t matter if it’s 1222 or 2022.
  17. Any chance it ticks a little east to give the wor crowd a well deserved banger?
  18. Nah. The world/humans have always been barbaric. We just have the technological infrastructure these days to see it practically in real time and…everyone has an opinion as to why it is happening. So it seems like it is getting worse when it is not. We’re just connected more than ever. The world feels smaller so some think the walls are closing in on them lol.
  19. He needs to sleep it off with the looney My Pillow ceo.
  20. You are so far gone, your pro donnie maga’s need to sit this one out. Your boy thinks Putin is a genius and a peacekeeper, thought he is doing the right thing invading Ukraine lol…oh and the fraud election was rigged conspiracy that lead to fake patriots attacking the capital has been debunked over and over again. Let’s not get into it…
  21. Yup and look at shell. They bought a huge amount of Russian oil on the cheap yet their price at the pump has went up. The price in their tanks and gas stations didn’t increase plus they leveraged the down Russian market…so why the increase? They claim they will donate the extra profit to a humanitarian fund for Ukraine. Yea…Let’s see how that gets tracked.
