  1. Alone in a cold and dark house with a kitchen counter full of empty beer cans…sounds like a great time tonight.
  2. I think that was the winter where we got a nice storm in mid Novie and another one on like March 10th or something with almost nothing in between…?
  3. While persistence has merit and can be tough to snap sometimes, the past is not indicative of the future. Dec and Jan were vastly different too so while the sensible weather for SOP has been the same, how we got it was not…which is one reason why I can’t roll DJ forward to Feb. If Feb skunks us then I’ll just toss everything out the window moving forward and order a flock of geese from the vatican.com.
  4. I think it’s very difficult to have back to back months of it. Will would know the data but I find it hard to imagine we have ever gone below 2” in Jan and Feb.
  5. I find folks who take their time to post on a weather forum about past grievances and failures of the season while chastising those who continue to do what the hobby or profession entails, fascinatingly strange. It’s one thing to discuss a future outcome regardless of one’s perspective, it’s another to obsess over someone’s else’s objective reasoning with continued emotional wanking. It is as if a weather forum is only designed to exist when the cold season is going favorably. Otherwise, it should be temporarily shut down.
  6. It doubled down and consolidated some of the energy for a more potent Sat system and still has another wave trailing across the south on Sun with plenty of cold above to tap into.
  7. Congrats and gl. It’s an awesome experience.
  8. Like what DIT does during night time snowstorms.
  9. I mean I get it for sure. You have 60 days though to keep it under 4 inches correct? It is a big balls bet though considering the odds are against you from a statistical standpoint. Then again, I also thought we would break out of this by now and we haven’t so…
  10. All those gummies he’ll have to buy and drive it to Moosup. I’m afraid he’ll have a seizure just walking into a dispensary though.
  11. And I know many who have it and say the complete opposite.
  12. Following the geese? Agree though. Useless weather for most. Luckily these are becoming less frequent and shorter.
  13. Yea and we’ve been prone to late winter/early spring blocking episodes over the past several winters anyway.
  14. It’s been a weird season so why not continue the weird.
  15. Yea. I expect some blocking to show up back half of Feb into March. Nothing extreme but good enough especially as wavelengths shorten. I know no one cares to discuss until they’re shoveling but this is why we are here.
  16. There’s always a bright side. Glad you found one. We were ready to install our solar system two weeks ago until the roof inspector called it off. We need a new roof within 3 years now, ugh. No solar until we do.
  17. It looks like underreporting at first glance but maybe there was a bad sucker hole there. I don’t remember what radar looked like.
  18. Hmm I don’t have that in my WKevin records. Either I forgot to add or it was another east zone special.
  19. That was a good one. Not hecs but the cutoff spun south of LI for days with snow showers, giving a prolonged deep winter vibe.
  20. Pants and undies? Obviously I would not wish for anyone’s homes or vehicles being totaled but I wonder what your response would really be if a big oak was in your living room while your truck was pancaked on your driveway. I can’t imagine you’d pound another IPA in excitement while the wife and kids cry out the shock…but I could be wrong.
