  1. 5" radar estimates north side of I78 near Fogelsville
  2. 2.5" amounts the last hour just NW of drought guy
  3. Constant rumbles to the west here and an orange moon to the southeast
  4. Spectacularly bad flood situation in southwest Connecticut with more heavy rain headed into the same area.
  5. .40" on the day maybe one more shower chance
  6. Skies opened up here twice for about two minutes. Major torrential downpours but man were they brief. .20" today
  7. Radar has finally lit up now it's coin flip time for hits or misses
  8. I have a theory that it was too hot for tomatoes this summer, with the irregular rains delivering the death blow. Strangely however peppers have done ok.
  9. Family members garden looks like the apocalypse hit it lol, worst tomatoes I have ever seen. That's what happens when most of the summer rains fell twice all summer here with the first two weeks of July and four days in early August.
  10. Nothing lol But surrounded by fields and farms, ponds and streams. The local sweet corn has taken a hit with lateness and overall quality. Then there is the nearby family member with a garden I have to listen too, like later on today after I told them not to water on Thursday ALOT of rain and possibly flooding was impending...
  11. Headed for another flood fail, really needed the rain too after a dry week and another longer dry period commencing. Hrrr looks like most get a few tenths
  12. Need heavy rain the ponds are becoming puddles
  13. I'm calling it the first fall airmass next week with highs in the mid 70's. More smoke because the airmass is dropping in from the north?
  14. Explains why I couldn't see the Big Dipper through that nasty haze last night
  15. Not seeing it tonight. Meteor shower so far is very slow.
  16. Some great shots on the old Facebook of the lights from Landsdale and other places overnight.
  17. KP6 currently and may be still rising so the northern lights are a possible go. Last night after midnight was at KP7 rising to KP8 after sunrise. Was at KP7 falling to KP6 when the clouds broke for viewing in April.
  18. Solar storms are ongoing reaching G4 intensity over the last 24 hours and there is "potential" for more northern lights tonight.
  19. One of those things you never know and have to be looking at the rare right time and have clear skies. I saw the real deal now not like that slight fuzzy patch back in April. Additionally 22 meteors i think was the most I have ever seen in an hour. A few of them zipped through the Aurora it was like a Hallmark moment lol. Bucket list item checked
  20. Was able to observe 22 meteors between 2-3am this morning but that was the sideshow because the Aurora blew my socks off between 2:25-2:40am with red pinks and a couple white pillars. Caught me off guard I thought I was having visions lol.
