  5. Typical warminsta's being conservative with cold...more like much below normal from what I see. Might sneak in a rather warm May 5th however that helps skew a chilly period.

CFS is forecasting a -5F May Going by the completely obliterated southeast ridge since the spring equinox it's believable The next far below normal cold intrusion is already on the radar for the first full weekend in May. Like clockwork since early January the most stable repeating pattern I think I have ever seen.

A 24 HOUR RECORD SNOWFALL OCCURRED AT THE GREATER BINGHAMTON AIRPORT FROM MARCH 14TH TO MARCH 15TH. A TOTAL OF 31.3 INCHES OF SNOW FELL BETWEEN 3 AM ON THE 14TH TO 1 AM ON THE 15TH. THIS BREAKS THE PREVIOUS 24 HOUR SNOWFALL RECORD OF 23 INCHES SET IN FEBRUARY 1961.

  18. Torrential rain and sleet is a new one for the book. Back to rain as the heavy line pushed north. Back to back days with traces of frozen in the second half of April
  19. Interesting happenings here heard a pelting sound and looked out I have torrential rain and sleet with a wet slop accumulation 39F
  20. Great radar deathband pushed through although by experience it would be light snow up here
