Something tells me don't try and remember this one, vague memory of very heavy radar echoes for hours with nothing but light snow and me being beside myself over it, but then hours of heavier snow under light returns that helped

Have to say December isn't looking Nino mild like most winter forecasts predicted. Another case of analogs fail? Now I done it the kiss of death..
-
Just happened to see this two minutes ago. Dentist appointment that day lock this one up
-
2" storm total
-
Exactly the same thing here. Same thing will happen in winter but I will waste a week of life tracking a big snow that ends up cutting in disappointment.
-
Sleet and 39F
-
39F with sleet And so it begins No bees either
-
One yellowjacket/ one honeybee at the door today and one fly zapped with it in the mid 40's outside
-
Only ten days away for 90 days last year

History says the ECM weeklies are garbage. One only has to look at last winter at their constant flipping. Then there is the GFS with it's cold bias. Personally I think we are seeing the typical Nino early chill before the inevitable mild December time will tell.

.10" overnight, my total since October 21st is .30" very confident this will be the driest 30 day stretch in my lifetime. Bought a rain gauge 10/21 and broke the weather. Stream levels look decent locally I don't get how, drought guy?

They were. Also had a honeybee in my car. November stings.
-
In other news a shorts on day with the temperature reaching 68F. Lots of yellowjackets and unfortunately saw the neighbors cat hanging out on the deck get stung and take off like a cannon shot.
-
He is likely referring to intensity as the 87 January storm dumped it all in eight hours and February 83 was long duration.

Weather World winter outlook. Textbook strong El Nino winter with a mild December till sometime in January then closer to average but still above average. Couple nor'easters bring most of the snow and above average chance of one big storm. Expect total days with snow cover to be below average with this forecast. Won't have to wait long to see if this forecast is right for December as of now guidance is for above normal first half of December after the late November chill exits.

First snow happened on 11/15 a year ago, meant little for the months to come
-
I can't believe it but I was almost stung by a yellowjacket what is going on
-
That would be 7 of 11 months above normal using the newer higher normal years set so nothing cool about it
-
I hear so many people talking about them nesting under their siding it's ridiculous, I think they are getting smarter and taking over.
-
To all the non superstitious believers out there I present this - Bought a rain gauge three weeks ago and here I am at .20" three weeks later...
-
On the lookout for them today this was the worst year ever and anywhere I went there was no escape
-
Jack Frost at Home Depot looks like he plans to freeze everyone to death and bury them in snow this winter
-
No worries it will change again, again and again
-
High temp 68F
