  1. Well the "S word" storm was an example of one and 2012 was also a La Nina ENSO year - https://www.ncei.noaa.gov/access/monitoring/monthly-report/summary-info/global/201212#:~:text=2012 was also warmest "La,La Niña year on record.
  2. Lessee where I left off... ended up with highs/lows of 53/44 (Tues), 53/37 (Wed), and 67/38 (Thurs). After a low of 56 earlier this morning, I also had a light passing shower deposit 0.02" but now steadier light rain has overspread the area and I'm up to 0..07" so far. It's currently 63 with light rain and dp 63.
  3. My 44 low this morning meant they got to sleep in... possibly for good! I was in and out watching it from about 4:40 am until it disappeared behind a nearby house just before 6 am. Pic was taken just before 5:30 am. The Orion constellation in the general vicinity, was prominent! It's currently mostly sunny and 49, with dp down to 34, and some wispy cirrus overhead. Am keeping an eye on Nicole as we seem to be in the cone for rain.
  4. Just popped out back to take a look at the moon and actually heard a lone cricket out there chirping. The winds have dropped off noticeably so looks like I might get some decent radiational cooling. Currently a moonlit 68 with dp 46.
  5. Managed to hit 75 as a high today and the cold front that blew through took the dews almost 20 degrees from earlier this morning. It's currently 71 with dp 46, and with what might be a very high deck of cirrus. Big pile of RERs today too for highs broken -
  6. Ended up with a 74 high today and actually picked up 0.02" from that light band that came through earlier. There's currently a deck of cirrus overhead and it's an amazing 69 (just dropped from 70), with dp 64.
  7. Got some light rain, enough to wet the sidewalk but so far, not enough to tip the bucket. Did hit 70 before it clouded over and it's currently overcast and 69 with dp 65.
  8. Some RERs yesterday at multiple sites - Allentown (record high tied) - Record high at Reading - Record high min at Mt. Pocono - And a couple records in AC (record high min and tie of that at the airport and Marina) - As an obs, so far my "low" has been 64 this morning, and it's currently 65 with a deck of cirrus overhead, and dp 63.
  9. Got up to 76 as a high and yup, busted out the grill! Also needed to turn the AC on 'cause. Brick house. Had lots of cumulus bubbling up out there today, so the sun was in and out, but there was a nice breeze... Otherwise it's currently partly sunny and 75 with dp 62.
  10. Finished up with a high of 71 yesterday and had a low of of 57 earlier this morning and no fog or low stratus (Even with the higher dps probably due to the breeze that did kick in). Have already surpassed yesterday's high and am currently partly sunny and 73, with dp 65. Am busting out the grill given the opportunity to take advantage of the nice weather.
  11. Have been enjoying the waning days of fall. Ended up with 68 as a high for both Wed. & Thurs., and lows of 48 Wed., with a chillier 42 yesterday. This morning has probably been the foggiest IMBY over the past couple weeks when there had been fog advisories up, but right now, the sun is battling to get seen. After a low of 45, am currently a foggy/misty 49 with a dp of 48, and with the sun trying to punch through the low stratus.
  12. I actually made it to 70 IMBY before getting hit with a pop-up shower that deposited 0.01", for a total of 0.05" for the day (0.37" for the 2-day event). Currently partly cloudy and 66 with dp 58.
  13. Ended up with a high of 64 yesterday and 0.32" of rain. Had an additional 0.04" of rain between midnight and 3 am for a 2-day total of 0.36". After a low of 57 this morning and some low stratus, am currently 58 and misty with a dp of 58.
  14. Made it up to 62 yesterday as a high and my low this morning has so far been 42. It's currently 44 with some low stratus and fog, and dp 44.
  15. Ended up with 63 as a high Thursday, along with a cooler 57 high yesterday after a low of 41, so had some nice fall days with the first big leaf drop underway. This morning's low was 39 and I made it to 59 as a high with more clouds, but generally sunny for much of the day. Currently 45 and clear with dp 37.
  16. Tuesday's high eventually topped out at 70 and yesterday's high was 68 after a humid low of 56 and a bit more fog than Tuesday (although still not completely socked in). With the hundredth of an inch more in the bucket wrung out of the humid/misty air yesterday, my final tally was 0.41" over 4-days. This morning's low was 52 and the air mass change has been noticeable, with breezy conditions, lower dewpoints, and blue skies. Currently 62 and sunny with dp 42.
  17. Sun started popping out about 45 minutes ago and skies have been variable since. And with the moisture from the past couple days along with some sum, it sent the temps up to 69 with a corresponding dp of 65.
  18. Finished up with 0.30" of rain yesterday. And although I wasn't socked in, I did have some fog and low stratus this morning (<1/4 mile visibility) that has started to lift. Bottomed out at 59 today and so far the clouds have wrung out another 0.05" of rain (total now 0.40" for the 3-day event) and It's currently a misty 62 with dp 62.
  19. Finished up with 0.05" of rain yesterday and so far have had 0.27" today (2-day event total is 0.32"). After a low of 53 this morning, I just touched 60 as a high and am currently at 59 and overcast/misty with dp 58.
  20. Finally started getting some band of light but measurable rain here in NW Philly. So far have 0.02" of it and it's currently drizzling and 58 with dp 54.
  21. LOL - well apparently they have gotten some light rain there but they might be able to squeak by without a rain delay (a band sets up will determine that). Took a bit to moisten up the dry air in any case. Ended up with a high of 58 on Thursday, high/low of 62/37 on Friday, and a high/ow of 66/39 yesterday. Low this morning was a "warmer" 48 and it managed to get to 63, even with the overcast. Had a little non-measurable light rain earlier this afternoon but overall, it has been dry here. Currently overcast and 62 with dp 53.
  22. Well I bottomed out at 35 this morning and made it to 58 as a high. Supposed to start to warm up the next couple days and then a nor'easter appears to be progged so will see how that goes. Currently clear and 42 with dp 37.
  23. Bottomed out here several minutes before sunrise at 34 (33.8). Last time I was close to that as a low was April 18 with a 35. Currently clear, sunny, and 44 with dp 34.
  24. Finished up with 0.57" of rain from that line. And the stuff that much of our group have been waiting for - Frost Advisory lofted for most of the CWA for tonight through to Wednesday - Currently mostly cloudy and 44 with dp way down to 35.
  25. My Upper Darby sis texted that they had hail (her pic looked to have been of pea-sized). Didn't get any hail here but do have 0.55" in the gauge at post time. Temp 56 with dp 56.
