  1. May be tricky because we seem to be getting some weak onshore flow out of the east off the ocean (almost like a marine layer). Currently 81 here and overcast.
  2. Sun has been popping in and out here. Temp is up to 79. There's a larger area of rain back over central PA along the front and hopefully I'll get a little more this morning assuming that holds together. Trying to at least hit 0.1" for the day.
  3. Got a couple more hundredths of an inch from some more sideswipes but this last hit has steamed up the windows. The air is like I'm in a tropical rain forest. Up to 0.08" and 74, with some light drizzle.
  4. May have a third heading your way. I just heard some thunder (finally) but still only got 0.06 out of the sideswipe blob.
  5. 0.00" here. Less than trace. lol There is something coming up from the SW through Delco that might clip me or at least give me something... maybe. EDIT - finally getting something more than drizzle. Up to 0.06" so far.
  6. Now getting some light rain from that enough to wet the sidewalk and make it steamy. Seeing occasional lightning but it seems like the bulk of the original line was a swing and a mess over the city. A new stronger line looks like it has formed in Montco. Landsdale looks like it is getting nailed from that.
  7. The line is starting to break up. Hope there is something left by the time it gets here.
  8. Hoping I can cash in on some of that. Need something to get the dust out of the air. I've been seeing some lightning flashes off in the distance.
  9. Congrats on finally cashing in. I never got chance to water yesterday (was getting last minute stuff for a bbq) and some of the poor plants were wilting in the sun today. Only got some dribbles and drabs last evening. Currently just ticked to 93 (high for the day so far) with lots of puffy cumulus after a low of only 75. Mt. Holly hoisted a FFW for the area for tomorrow, with the heaviest rain and storms now progged for the morning commute, with additional rain the rest of the day.
  10. Looks like KDIX is back up and running. Kudos to the techs for that, especially with the Friday progged storms !
  11. Have been at one of my sister's houses grilling in the heat this afternoon and could hear the thunder (and some residential fireworks) later in the afternoon. Temp got up to 91 here but most of the day has been overcast with occasional breaks of sun earlier but completely hazy and overcast the rest of the day. It was spritzing on my way home but I noticed on radar that East & West Norriton and as far west as Oaks, have been getting nailed. Then there is that huge blob centered over Lancaster County that has actually been sitting over that entire area for awhile now but the flow is moving from NE --> SW, so it doesn't appear it will come over this way. Currently 80 and 70% humidity so another uncomfortable night in store!
  12. That's assuming we don't get any pop-ups this evening. Mt. Holly AFD for near-term talking about that potential again. Currently 84 here now so will still be a very warm day but quite a bit of cloudiness has moved in the past hour or so, blocking the blazing sun which is just fine with me!
  13. Hope that is not a sign of how winter will treat you up there! Never got any more rain after the 0.06" yesterday but I'll take it. Currently 79 (about 4 degrees cooler than yesterday at this time) and sunny, with a few clouds scattered here and there, after a low of 72 this morning. Earlier steaminess is burning off some.
  14. Oh my. It's like you need a sump pump for the hole!
  15. In a bit of a lull with light rain. Never got any gully washer showers. Temp is down to 76 but with dews in the 70s too, it is a steam bath out there. Got 0.06" of that so far. Really need a bit more so I don't have to pull out the hose again... but beggars can't be choosers! Sun is trying to come out in the west.
  16. Finally getting rain. Finally. Currently a thundershower and temp down to 80.
  17. It has been raining to my east and raining to my west but still haven't gotten anything yet. There has been continual thunder all around and something nasty looks like it is forming to the west. The temp has dropped down to 84. Edit to add - Mt. Holly has been busy today (always before a holiday... ). EAS came up on my phone as I was texting my sis.
  18. Flash Flood Warning PAC091-101-032315- /O.NEW.KPHI.FF.W.0018.180703T1911Z-180703T2315Z/ /00000.0.ER.000000T0000Z.000000T0000Z.000000T0000Z.OO/ BULLETIN - EAS ACTIVATION REQUESTED Flash Flood Warning National Weather Service Mount Holly NJ 311 PM EDT TUE JUL 3 2018 The National Weather Service in Mount Holly NJ has issued a * Flash Flood Warning for... Residents living along streams and creeks should take immediate precautions to protect life and property. && LAT...LON 4004 7507 4001 7513 4007 7518 4009 7511 $$ Meola This is happening just east of me at the moment. Current temp is back up to 93 and partly sunny, so very unstable over this way. ETA - Looking at radar, as of ~3:45, it looked like it has now pretty much dissipated. It literally formed as a red dot, blew up into a tiny blob, and then I guess rained itself out and faded away like plopping a rock in a pond and watching the waves spread out in a circle all around. lol Wish I could save the animation of the radar presentation of that.
  19. This really isolated thunderstorm is just east of me by a few miles. From TPHL radar (not able to get data out of DIX) - EDIT - Thank you Mt. Holly. Getting the EAS alert. That is about 4 - 5 miles east of me in the Oak Lane area. It has been blowing up out of nowhere. KYW traffic report indicating heavy rain over there. Am not hearing as much continuous thunder as I was earlier but it looks like it could be creeping westward.
  20. Thunderstorm has popped up somewhere. Just heard some within the minute of post time (wasn't sure if it was early fireworks...lol) and it has been pretty consistent the past 5 minutes. Cumulus has been building since mid-morning and stratus has been coming up from the south. This has dropped the temps down from a high of 95 earlier, to 91 currently. Edit to add - can't seem to get anyone's nexrad working with data since ~2:15 pm (including WU). Dover nexrad -
  21. Up to 95 now just before noon, about 2 degrees warmer than this time yesterday but also a sauna too!
  22. Currently 89 and the temp rise is tracking closely (+/-1 a degree) to yesterday, although starting warmer today. However the steambath has arrived with dews in the 70s here!
  23. Low this morning was 76 @ ~5:30 am and current temp is 77, a full 5 degrees warmer than yesterday at this time. With dews in the 70s, it's a sauna out there!
  24. My final high ended up being 96 but that was sustained much longer than yesterday. Currently 93 (about 3 degrees warmer than this time yesterday) and sunny. With this being day 4 of the heatwave, it will take longer and longer to radiate the heat out of the city buildings overnight!
  25. A couple tenths warmer here in the 96 range than yesterday (high so far has technically been 96.1), but more sustained than yesterday's fleeting hit at 96 (95.7). Convective temps reached and a little cumulus have bubbled up here and there this afternoon (vs the cirrus cover of yesterday). The winds have generally been very light to calm both days which has made it a bit stifling but still not at steambath levels. I'm more used to those traditional "Bermuda High" SW winds that happen in the afternoons and not so with this stagnant stuff. Currently 96 and mostly sunny.
