  1. Sun is out, peonies are down, and the sauna has commenced. Currently partly sunny and temp is up to 70 and rising, with dp 68.
  2. Wow. Straight-line winds? Sky is starting to clear here and the sun is trying to bust out. The temp is also starting to creep back up. Now at 68 and rising. Finished up with 0.27" from that round here. Most of the line is now off the coast of Jersey except the far southern portion that has been rolling through AC and south. A mesonet in Brick Ocean, NJ reported an 87 mph wind gust.
  3. Still getting some back edge rain and am up to 0.26" with light rain. Temps have still been holding at 67.
  4. KPNE reporting 68 mph gust and KPHL a 61 mph gust. Mesonet in Holmesburg reported a 71 mph gust. Temp here now down to 67. Also have 0.22" in the bucket.
  5. Someone in Malvern reported a 75 mph gust. Meanwhile the line has moved over into Jersey and temp here is down to 72 with light rain.
  6. I ran outside to see that when it approached here. Thank goodness I put my patio umbrella down.
  7. Pottstown spotter reported a 76 mph gust. The back edge is moving through now and so far (since it's moving so fast) I got 0.20" with 0.85"/hr rate at the peak. Temp is down to 75 at post time. ETA - PWS reported final max rate was 1.06"/hr at peak.
  8. Gust front coming through. Temp was 85. Power keeps trying to go out. Hope it holds! Heard some thunder too.
  9. Incoming on my doorstep. Got real dark and power briefly blipped.
  10. Got some stuff bubbling up, warnings lofted, and all moving this way from the NW. Currently 85 here and hazy.
  11. Ended up with a high of 74 yesterday after a low of 54 but the humidity started creeping in late in the day. The low was much warmer this morning at 62 and after I was completely missed by the showers this morning, I had to counter-intuitively pull out the hose (given the forecast for the rest of the week) because the poor plants were bone dry. It's now off to the races with a temp of 83 and dews back into the 60s this morning.
  12. Hit a high of 71 yesterday with a nice breeze and low humidity and bottomed out at 45 this morning after the winds went calm just around 3 am. Currently partly cloudy, with temp rebounding and up to 47 with dp 33. Last day for oven use for the next couple days (made some brownies yesterday and considering making a quiche today)!
  13. And nothing measurable overnight... Temp has been steadily dropping early this morning from a high of 74 at midnight and is currently down to 68 at post time. Dews have dropped into the lower 60s vs the upper 60s/low 70s yesterday. The humidity should be gradually dropping through the day today per the forecast.
  14. And a swing and a miss! That cut right north of me by a couple miles. Maybe I'll get what is way west of here in another round if that even survives the night (I think that line is with the actual front). Temp down to 72.
  15. I'm finally getting swiped by some of that. Walks and streets are wet (nothing measurable yet). I'm about 5 miles SW of Jenkintown (had bought my last car there at one of the dealers on the Fairway). Edit - the bucket tipped for 0.01".
  16. Not a drop here yet. The southern part of the line has been really dragging and fizzling (maybe due to the instability focusing further north with the higher temps there today). Seeing a lot of dark clouds rolling by overhead but nothing from them. If that blob in Chesco manages to hang together as it crawls east, I might get swiped by it. Temp is down to 75 here.
  17. Looks like it fizzled out except for a small blob Chesco heading for Delco. The light returns showing over me aren't making it to the ground. Temp did drop down to 78.
  18. I figured your camera would get all excited about that line.
  19. Yeah it's been training over that are for awhile now. I topped off at 85 (so far) but it's down to 84 now but with a dp of 69 and some ominous clouds off to the west.
  20. Norman, OK lofted a Severe Thunderstorm Watch for the Western Burbs
  21. Ended up with a high of 83 Wednesday and of 78 yesterday (due to the overcast tropical-ey conditions), with 0.09" rain. Finally got chance to move the rest of my overwintering tropical/subtropical plants (including herb seedlings) outside. Some of that should have been out a month ago but the April showers and May frosts were precluding that. Currently 72 with dp 68 and overcast with mist.
  22. Had another heavy shower rotate through here around 2:30 pm depositing an additional 0.05" of rain, so now up to 0.43" for the day (making it a1.21" 2-day total). Sun is back out and temp is creeping back up again and now at 70. The high was 75 so far earlier today before this latest shower, after a low of 64.
  23. I ended up with a good soaking yesterday (after the year-long faucet was suddenly shut off). Was socked in with fog this morning although not as thick as it could have been. Had 0.78" of rain yesterday and 0.38" so far today (total for 2 days = 1.16"). It's been interesting to watch the radar and the low's bands pivoting up up and away. Currently 67 and muggy/misty.
