    I live in NYC and my average is 26 inches. I had just 2 inches the whole winter last year. I miss the winters of 2000 when I was getting 40+ continously.

    I take long range with a grain of salt even if they show a cold pattern but LA Nina December's are usually warm.

    Long range models are awful today after everyone was predicting a good December. They now show warmth. Shorts for December ? Awful pattern

    Just like the models showed a really good pattern , models in the long range should be taken with a grain of salt. Heck , the models have a hard time getting a storm right 5-7 days out. Everyone was praising a great pattern coming up.

    12z Euro Awesome track for many . This could have been a big snowstorm for many on the coast even in the mid Atlantic but cold air is the issue.

    Wow at Highmarket I want to go lake effect chasing there one day. Anything to do up there ?

    Gfs shows a really cold pattern the week before Christmas. The lake effect should start cracking if this is true.

    This storm could have been a good one for us if there was cold air already in place or if the storm bomb out near SNJ. The low track and the strength is really good for our area but the airmass sucks.

    The pattern has been awful for the lakes region. Last winter and for the foreseeable future will be great for NNE. Maine has been cashing in big time. I hope something gives because having only 2 inches the whole winter last year in NYC sucked.
