    This pattern took a turn for the worse. Everyone thought we would be getting to a great stretch coming up but the MJO is in the null phases and no help from the NAO and, PNA and AO.

    Down here in NYC , I had 26 inches last February thanks to the blocking all January which then gave us an 18 inch storm and 2 other storms in early February. This month I only got 2.5 inches. This winter deserves a C - so far. Nothing in December, 19.5 inches in January. 22 inches for the winter ( average is 27 )

    You need help from the NAO and AO next month. PNA is going negative and EPO still looks good. MJO will not be the driver of the pattern being in the COD.

    I think it might be over. The models look like trash moving forward. If so then I will finish about 5 inches below normal here ( 22 inches ) Boston has 51 inches which is above normal .
