Day 4 and its snowing once again here in the bronx. It seems the low is starting to consolidate and throw moisture back in to our area. The ccb band is taking shape right over us..
Using a average 12 to 1 ratio with the liquid equivalent would still equal 13 to 16 area wide, some places less, some places more. I think cpk has it right considering all the winds and lost le and compaction.
After picking up nearly 11 inches of snow and a lull,we are back in it baby!..part 2 of 3 is now in progress, moderate snow now falling..the way things look it might snow til wed morning..its soo slow moving.
By norwood/bedford park..I was shocked trust me..it didn't start snowing until 7 pm last night..didn't get cranking until 4/5 am ish..its been moderate to heavy ever since..rn its crazy out man.
I'm literally east of your location by 35 miles in the bronx..and its been crazy here for 5 hours now. Whatever we didn't get yesterday we made up in less then 6 hours. Over 9 inches and ripping rn..band right over my location as I type.
I'm in the northwestern bronx and its been puking snow for almost 3 hours now. Easily above 7 inches, maybe even 8.. mega bands are also incoming..either way I predict over 20 inches for the bronx..some spots over 2 feet.
I'm talking more up towards upstate ny..and ct..if look at the radar you can see everything transferring to the coastal..we are in great position but the more north and west you go it might be interesting
These bands are coming in hot and heavy from the ocean, whats even crazier is the fact that the coastal is causing the northern precip shield to erode and get spotty..n.y.c is getting roasted rn.!!
