    Granted I’ve only looked at the gfs, but it would suggest that we won’t be seeing a tropical system approach the US mainland any time soon.

    Not a popular opinion around here but I think the Pacific is a bigger piece for an overall good winter here. I’m not looking for blizzards.

    Personally I’d rather be in school in August. August absolutely sucks weather wise whereas May and June can be spectacular.

    “These parts” is fairly localized .. as in if you’re at sea level it’s gonna be tough.

    I’ve always thought on marginal days, have snow routes. Roads that are normally clear, safe, etc. Trust me, those parents would get the other ones there.

    The hours thing is there, I just don’t know the details. I know it’s been used out here in years where we missed too many snow days to actually make up.
