    Look at those precip totals in NC. This is not your run of the mill storm. There’s really some potential if this thing gets northwest enough to mingle with some colder air.

    The euro map looks better to me in the ns. Actually room for it to move north. Don’t look at the pretty colors. Height lines show only a slightly more positive tilt.

    There’s nothing to talk about without precip. That’s a story ended there. If we want it here, that 500 trough has to either be deeper, sharper or sooner. Why did we not get snow last week?

    It doesn’t have to shift 500 miles. Trough is marginally steeper, or 75 miles farther west, 75 miles deeper and it’s a different scenario totally.
