Yeah but the reality is that most of March is a winter month. More so most years than early December. So I would actually think our winter lined up more with the solstice to equinox than to the calendar.

The models we have are already incredible. The fact that some copper wire, plastic and electrical current can tell me that it’s going to rain on Saturday and it rains on Saturday is pretty damn amazing. Why people think they need to know the weather 10 days from now forever will escape me.

I think ensemble snowfall prediction is the most useless tool out of them all. Snowfall is dependent up systems that are not very easily predicted far in advance. Ens patterns are one thing but I’m not a believer in snowfall totals.

I almost root for about a week of awful models and ensemble looks just so I can watch the reactions.

The most fun thing is we can go from a great look coming in 10-15 days and then the great look (which hasn’t even happened yet) showing signs of breaking down less that 12 hours later. Its all pretty comical.

Hard to call the weekend system a cutter IMO. Pretty much just a low that basically develops in the Tn/Oh valley and then move ne. The gfs sure has the look of promise after Thanksgiving.

I would put good money on the Ravens to win the Super Bowl. They are clearly the best team right now. I think a team that can control a game by running the ball is always a leg up on whoever they play IF they have a good defense. Lots of things can get in the way, turnovers being primary and kicking game as well, but if I had a choice to choose any style of play to try and win with I would choose the Ravens style every time.

Great comeback by the Vikes. And though I’m not a fan (or a hater) those Ravens look pretty dang tough to me.
