12/14: Sunday funday? Will the south win again?
TowsonWeather replied to TSSN+'s topic in Mid Atlantic
The RUFUS is my new favorite model. Can't wait to repeatedly get Rufus'd in the years ahead. -

Pretty much, yeah. I just looked up snowfall in the whole region from 2017-2018 until this past winter - and Baltimore is, as far as I can tell, basically the only place in the Mid Atlantic to have 0 years where we didn't have at least 100% of average annual snowfall. I won't derail this thread by posting a bunch of maps, but maybe tomorrow I'll post them in banter.
-
I would prostitute my mother on the nearest street corner for 3.5 inches of snow. That's like...2 inches short of our biggest snowstorm IMBY in years, lol.
-
Northen MD - specifically Baltimore to the Northern Baltimore suburbs - has been absolutely screwed the last 5-6 years. A cumulative snow map would, I suspect, be deeply hilarious. Quite literally everywhere to the north, south, west and east of this area has gotten at least one big snowfall - and almost everyone has had several. This is a historic snow drought in my lifetime - not just because of the raw volume of snow (or lack thereof), but the freakishly bizarre way in which we KEEP getting the short end of the stick while everyone else in the region hits paydirt over and over. It's more than a little galling.

I use an ad blocker (Purify) that has always worked in the past, but now for this one specific site and this one specific issue it isn’t doing the job. Something must have changed on Tapatalk’s end, but holy god it’s annoying. Makes this site virtually unusable for me on mobile.

I'm convinced there's an inverse relationship between the number of times someone cries about the first amendment and their level of understanding of what it actually means.
-
Why is this troll still posting on here? Every post he makes is designed to attack someone or stir shit up.
-
Weird. Because you said the exact same thing leading up to the last storm. How far back do we have to go to find where you "always root for y'all"? Because it looks to me like you bring little more than trolling and toxicity to these threads. When was the "rooting" happening again?

F Richmond.

F Richmond.

Brother, you're looking baller for 50. I turn 50 this year and I increasingly look like the corpse of Gary Busey.

Is the date firm?

In that scenario, if you slept that night, you have to turn in your board card.

Man, if Southern MD gets 30 inches and I only get 22, I'm gonna be apoplectic with rage.

Pretty sure all those point and click forecasts are automated from model output.

I didn't do a great job measuring, but we got somewhere between 3.5 and 4 inches here on the southern edge of Towson. Not too shabby. I'm more than happy with that given how being on the fringe of these things can go sometimes. Congrats to the southern crew on your big numbers - and esp to DC-area folks who so often get hosed.
-
Appreciate the insights - as bleak as they may be for us north of Baltimore. I'll be happy with 2-3 inches at this point. But less wouldn't surprise me at all. Really not expecting much of any consequence. One of these days (years?) we'll break out of this nearly decade-long slump, but it is not this day, haha. Congrats to DC south and the NOVA folks (except Richmond, cause F 'em) - enjoy it!

I don't hate it, tbh.

Ha! I remember a time when the north trend was a predictable phenomenon. Just hasn't really been that for quite some time now - certainly not consistently.
